Good post Bossieman..even now we can feel the effects of pollution in the Ozone Layer. The weather has gone abnormal nowadays...people are too preoccupied with their lives to look deep into the future of their generation and does not want to contribute for resolution.

Do they want their kids to suffer heavy Ultra Violet burns??.That Highlander2 story is for REAL.

Corporate people just cannot stop cutting down trees for farming and industrialization.

I say if nothing is done to prevent this problem it might come sooner.

I just had to vote that "I really don\'t care, as I am dead" option, because that\'s exactly how I feel. I\'m then dead, and doomsday is the day of death to those who are still alive. They\'re going to die like me. No big deal.

But, when will it happen? I think we\'re on the edge now, ready to being pushed into the oblivion...

If we believe into the foretells of Bible, and the book of Revelation ( or whatever it is called ), the end surely is near. The signs are around us.

My grandfather tried to explain the foretells from the bible as best as he could. He explained, that Bible foretold the death of every great kingdom and union, and the last one will be the European Union. It will last until the world will end. We can predict the end is near when EU will have one leader, one president, or something like that.

Bible also tells, that end will come, when every people on earth has heard of the Word, and all jews have turned to christians. This shocked me, as in Israel, the count of turned Jews is constantly going up, and in greater speed, growing all the time. Before 1970\'ies, there was only few jews who were turned to be christians in Israel, but today, there\'s many thousands of turned Jews these days living in Israel.

But that\'s only if you believe into those things.

Nostradamus, for one, foretold world will come to an end, see its doom, at the year of 3700 ( well, it was 3700, but I don\'t exactly remember was it in the beginning of the century or towards the end... like I would care ;) ) We could say that\'s very soon in space-time. Of course it feels like a long time to us; phah, another millenium; but it\'s like a blink of an eye in space-time, wich is limitless, like pointed in my thinking man\'s thread.

In a nutshell: I personally believe world will face its doom very soon, but the thing is, that I don\'t really care if it doesn\'t happen in my time. And I wouldn\'t care so much if it would. I will die anyway.

Darth Joyda:

I have read Nostradamus book of predictions. He predicted that world war 3 started on the year 2000.He was indeed wrong.

Some of his prediction are correct such as French Revolution,JFK assasinations and World War 2 but i think his prediction power was out of range to predict this Century.

Personally, I think Nostradamus never really predicted anything. People just twisted his predictions to fit things that happened in the past. If they were real predictions, we\'d know what they meant before they happened, not after.

And about the earth ended in 2200, that\'s not true either. Everyone knows the earth is going to end in A.D. 2101. That is, unless we can move every zig for great justice.

Option Number 3.

Me Dead, So Whaat !!
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.

I dont think Earth as we know it will be around for that long. I personally, being the religious man I am, believe the second coming of Christ will be before then and we will all be gone through the resurrection. But hey, who knows? I am betting if we DO last that long, we wont be on Earth anymore.

Kane:
If nostradamus wasn\'t a foreteller, he quessed some things quite well! Maybe the predictions were poetric, and complex to understand, but they still described some events very clearly! Like the rise of Hitler for example.

"Beasts ferocious from hunger will swim across rivers:
The greater part of the region will be against the Hister,
The great one will cause it to be dragged in an iron cage,
When the German child will observe nothing."

Famous prediction of the WWII. "Hister". Maybe the predictions weren\'t down to little details, but they were clear.

BTW. Kane, of course predictions are understood after the event has happened! If it wouldn\'t be so, we\'d all be predicters! After an event happens, wich is predicted, of course we understand the predict meant that event AFTER it occured ( get it? ;) )

I quess I\'ll start a thread after his name... :)
