First off, may I say "I\'m hating work!" Cuz with ATV, Starfighter, Triple Play, and now Onimusha I JUST SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE FORCED TO GO TO WORK!!! It just seems inhumane! I mean the torture that is the waiting until 4:30pm is unbearable [not to mention that I\'m a great employee, so I never really seem to leave until 6pm or later
. -- And lets not even get into the "quality time" that a good husband [dang, me again!] has to offer the spouse once I *do* get home! Oh, sooo many sweet games. I can remember chomping at the bit through christmas thinking "when will the GREAT games arrive for PS2"...perhaps the waiting is over. Now I just hope this continues to be my "problem" for the next few years!
Okay, comment first: Jeepnrocks (and numerous others) have indicated that they don\'t think it is as scary as the other RE series. But isn\'t this simply a matter of fact? I thought Capcom was outing Onimusha as "something else". In other words, yes Capcom made a number of RE games/sequels. But they also made Dino Crisis. Did I miss something? Was Dino Crisis a spin on RE or its own game with less "scare" and simply more "action"? Similarly, I had gathered that Onimusha is a game set in feudal Japan with its "own" story that does not have anything to do with RE. No zombies, per se. No terrible corporation creating biohazardous mutations, etc. Onimusha is its own story...its own game...with its bent on action more than scare, and that action being not of dinos but of demons. Am I missing something?
Now, the question: [and please SOMEBODY read and answer this -- don\'t get bogged down in the comment above and overlook answering this question please! Thanks!] Since I am a poor, ignorant, american with no purposeful skills in the japanese language...
... how exactly am I to decipher the challenges/riddles/Q&As that exist in those chests next to the mirrors, etc.? I mean, yeah, I got lucky ONCE so far...but its all been a frustrating bout of trial & error...simply mashing permutations. Bleh! Is there any way to decipher this japanese text short of *learning* it??? Did I miss turning off/on a certain option at the beginning of the game? How does Capcom really expect me to honestly answer their historical questions they pose? Appreciate the ear...looking forward to the "hear".
