Yeah, some but not Wal-Mart, b/c they checked it on me one time.  So would you like to know how I swapped out my PS1 when they checked serial #s?

I\'m so sneaky I just took off the bottom half of the consoles and swapped em.

I dropped mine in the sink full of water last night when my girlfriend was mopping the floor, I was moving my PS2 to one room to another and I walked into the kitchen with my PS2 and sliped on the floor, the PS2 went flying into the sink and is now dead!
If you need help,
I will be there for you my friend,
I will never let you down.

Get hold of Sony dealers and ask them to repair it.  If you have a UK PS2 and not a Japanese PS2 then your machine will still be under gaurantee.  GOOD LUCK!!
A word of advice:

In the working world there is only two ships that sink: 1.) a Battle ship, and 2.) Partnership
