New Onimusha 2 Screens
Early screenshots of Capcom\'s Onimusha 2, the imaginatively-titled sequel to the recently released original. Don\'t miss them.

Developer: Capcom
Genre: Survival Horror
Release Date: TBA
With the recently released Onimusha being another in a long, long line of runaway successes for Capcom, it comes as no surprise that a sequel is already in the works. What is surprising, however, is that the sequel was under development long before Onimusha was branded a classic by the gaming populous; indeed, long before it even reached the retail market. The reason? The creators of Onimusha were so confident of the game\'s hit potential, they started work on the sequel even when the original was in the making. Well, that\'s Capcom for you.
The sequel, starring an enigmatic samurai sporting a very un-samurai-esque eye-patch, takes place a full decade after the zombie-zapping adventures of Samanosuke. Plot-wise, few details are known as of this writing, although gamers are all but assured of new weapons, fresh faces, loads of surprises and all the bells and whistles we\'ve come to expect from Capcom titles. The screens below are taken from a short teaser gamers are treated to upon completing Onimusha, introducing the new jaded sword-wielding hero, as well as a couple of action scenes thrown in for good measure. We were going for a mini-movie-clip type presentation, so we\'ve set a couple of them up in animated gif form. Check \'em out below.
