ZOE distribution issues?! (US)
« on: March 27, 2001, 04:39:04 PM »
Well, I just gave the Playstation Sony Metreon store a call and I talked to the guy to ask if they got ZOE in today since they usually get it on the ship date and the guy delivered bad news and then even MORE bad news.  Here\'s the quote:

Quote
We didn\'t get ZOE in today and we probably won\'t get it in tomorrow.  We were told today that Konami was toying with a new box design for the product and the design was causing some distribution issues.  So most likely, we won\'t have the title till Thursday, but we might, if we\'re lucky, get a huge batch in by tomorrow.

Shocked, I decided to see if my casual retailer was going to get in it\'s usual batch of games just as reported to me yesterday.  The retailer, Electronics Boutique, told me this exactly:

Quote
We\'ll have the game tomorrow and we don\'t have any forseeable delays in sight.

Phew.  On further inspection, ebgames.com has already shipped out it\'s orders and they are on track to be at doorsteps by tomorrow.  Hopefully, we\'ll all have it within the next 2 days or so.  Here\'s looking forward to Solid Snake dreams and Jehuty explosions. :D
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

Ya I had the same problem.  I called my local Funcoland to see if ZOE had arrived, but they said that it wouldn\'t be there till Thursday.  I immediatly got pissed and called Best Buy, but they told me the same thing.  Stupid Arizona stores, I hate them all!!!  I want my Zoe!!!

I read the first half of your post and wept (already tormented by MLS ExtraTime\'s delay), and then I read the second half and wiped away my tears.

Thank God. New box design, pfffftt.....silly Konami.

I\'ve gotten conflicting reports from the stores that I have called. One EB told me the 30th! Another told me tomorrow. I sure as hell hope that it is tomorrow.

Well I got a copy, got really lucky... EB, Wal Mart, and Toys R Us didn\'t get any copies, Babbages and Stop n Save software only got enough for preorders, but I went to Stop n Save anyways and I got real lucky when just before I came in, someone canceled their preorder!

It does appear they\'re using a new box design, it\'s pretty neat, allows easy access to both demo disk and game disk...

ZoE and the MGS2 demo really kick too... Q3R on the other hand... :/

Umm EB had like 50 copies, they sold out in less than 2 hours, and I had a pre-order! So I got it

I tried to pick up Z.O.E today but I couldn\'t find one.  Apparently my funcoland and some other small videogame store recived it..but would only give them out to pre-orders..sucks.  The bigger stores like kay-be and toys r us haven\'t recived shipments yet.  I\'ll probaby check them out again tommorow after school.

this is the most hilarious day today..when i got to work we had ZOE in the back and PS2..Shipments R Us today!. our first box was about 36 copies and we sold out mad quick. we had to borrow more from another EB..we got more in and that sold out. we finally got a HUGE box that was heavy and i mean HEAVY. in that box was about 120-125 more pieces..and THAT SOLD OUT !..at the end of the day we found out that we received California\'s shipment of ZOE..after closing we had 1 more HEAVY box just like the 120-125 piece box. take a guess what was in there....you guessed right MORE ZOE..another 136 more ZOE..a total of over 300 ZOEs in a DAY !!!! we made $18,000.00 today just from ZOE and other sales..

this is so hilarious..i also heard a EB in Oregon got their shipment of ZOE sent to NY as well..LOL !!!!
