Ps2 Online Games! Please Read!

Hail!

Iam a rpg fanatic , esspecialy when it comes to Massive Online Multiplayer games (not like Phantasy Star for DC) Ex: EQ , Ultima , Asherons Call ect. Since the PS2 has a HardDrive and Modem/keyboard/mouse on the way , will it be possible for a massive online game like EQ? As far as I see it , it should be possible. You have modem to connect to the net , you have harddrive to store information and you have the mouse and the keyboard. Does anyone have any helpful information on the subject please respond. It would be pretty awesome if their was a console massive rpg online.

yah, they\'re making a EverQuest for PS2 right now

Not to mention Final Fantasy XI

Is\'nt that starwars one coming to PS2 also?

Oh yeah, just don\'t expect them for a while, like towards the end of this year probably.

Good to know some massive online games are comming out. EQ for PS2? hmmmm i doubt it... can anyone confirm?. I don\'t really like flying sims and are you sure the starwars game is going to be a massive (massive meaning that hundreds or thousands of players at the same time are playing in an consistant world). yeah im sure there will be at least that many peeps playing at once since you have to have a broadband connection to the internet to use the ps2 on the internet, i think its a smart move even though i dont have broadband..yet.. it will enable programmers to so things the before were thought to be impossible because of lag (latency) but if everyone is broadband, much much more things would be shared at one time.. and the japeneze are into huge, online RPG\'s. so yeah they are coming, i just cant remember the names:D but trust me, from the way things look, when they come, theyll kick the pants off anything currently out.

yea i am pretty sure about EverQuest being made by someone under Sony for PS2.

dark - deivil from the ign boards (he\'s a very accurate insider, most of his predicions come true) hinted that sega, sony and namco were working on a massive online multiplayer RPg like PSO and everquest. This is likely because namco and sega have signed a partnership and sony said they are working on some kind of secret online game. Sound great ...eh??

If indeed their is a EQ in the works for PS2 (or some game like it) than it will be a great thing in the world of console gaming and it will maybe attract enough people to create more of them. Because the best game is an online game , because in online games you can play forever and it will always be different and that\'s the only reason I liked the pc , but now if a console system can make them work than it\'s great NEWS! I can\'t wait!
