MGS2 E3 trailer Vs Playable Demo.
« on: April 01, 2001, 10:12:42 AM »
Okay....

You notice that in the MGS2 trailer from e3 it shows quite a bit more then we are given in the demo. I wonder how much of the game was done for the E3 trailer. To me it looks like they go all the way to the Metal Gear Ray at the end...that\'s not the end of the game. I hope not.

There are both different.

Of course it doesn\'t end there. Snake hasn\'t even entered NYC yet....I wonder how u can be stealthy in NYC.

TheGR81 asked, "I wonder how u can be stealthy in NYC."

Don\'t ya know?  A person is most alone, most by themselves, when they are in a crowd...  Then again, I don\'t think that saying holds true when you are sporting kevlar, grenades, an M9, and a USP!!! :D

heres what i HOPE happens.

-Snake fights about 3 boss battles on that ship, and metal gear ray is shown destroying the ship and snake jumps overboard and swims  to the shore. Walks  a few feet and he is in NYC.

- Fights Soldius on top of the Empire state building with Soldius falling to his death.  Like Liquid did in the first one but only Soldius would actually DIE frome the fall and Liquid snake would show up and you would fight him.

I hope it turns out something like that.

the movie i have on DVD has a far better sequence with olga when she does the "bullet time" shot and the knife bounces in front of snake, wonder why they changed it, version on demo is no where near as good.

I thought it was better in the demo then in the trailer...in the trailer I think Olga wasn\'t even motion captured when she spun around to shoot the gun and throw the knife.  This one was much more cooler how it was done.  The only thing that\'s cooler in the trailer is the slow-motion bullet trail.  In the demo they have the slow-motion but the bullet trail is deifferent and I don\'t think it looks as cool.  But like Hideo Kojima said about the demo, "You\'re playing a work in progress."  In other words it\'s still not finished.

...and then GodZilla jumps out of a building, and they have to lure him to a bridge and trap him

ok...that was just a bad joke, but i havent played the demo, so i cant give you my expert opinion

PLEASE not New York !

the whole idea behind MGS was that you where by yourself with little to NO help from the out side world.

Oh yeah set in in NEY YORK CITY , and have the NYPD help you out ............

i think the tanker sinks and the rest ofthe game takes place on some secret base somewere.

Not on the Streets of NYC please

I was just thinking of how big this game is now.  Almost a full year ago, they showed us the same stuff that we are finally playing.  It makes you wonder what they have been adding to the game in the past year. :)  I can\'t wait until E3 where they will probably show us cool new footage of new areas.

The Matrix style knife throw scene looks much better in the E3 trailor than the demo from what ive seen in the movies.

But Hideo said that it will look better than the trailor, so we shall wait and see how the final one, or even e3 2001 demo turns out.
I met him 15 years ago, I was told there was nothing left, no reason, no concious, no understanding and even the most rudamentory sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong, I met this 6 year old child with this blang pale emotionless face and, the blackest eyes, the devils eyes, I spent 8 years trying to reach him, and then another 7 trying to keep him locked up because I realised what was living behind that boys eyes was purly and simply evil.
