ok, if you notice what Nplayer really wrote was..."i belive the price of $50 for this neccessary gaming component is quite attractive and fair"

meaning, you took it out of context...i believe that price is fair, is all he was saying (nplayer) not, i believe the price will be around $50

...ok ive had my say

I didnt take anything out of context. What I said would make sense even if I had quoted the full sentance. I thought it was uneccessary as the full quote was a few posts up... I believe the price of $100 would be fair for a PS2... but who cares? You don\'t mention price points unless you:
1-Want people to have a idea of what the price will be, and
2-Actually know.

It would be improper (if this had been real) to throw a figure out there like that just based on your opinion... it\'s also unproffessional.

. I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, in terms of ingenuity, exclusivity, and console competition, X-Box brings nothing to the table except a fat wad of cash and some rehashed PC components wrapped with a DC controller and a plastic black box.----RYU

I\'m not impressed really. There isnt many details other than mentioning what we knew, that there will be online games by fall, and they will have modems.... ooooh! I\'m floored! \'I believe the price of $50...\' (for the HDD)... are you sure Mr. Kutaragi? Please consult with someone WHO KNOWS!

Sorry, but I only buy peripherals/addons that are neccessary for some games (Dual Shock for Ape Escape, Sega CD for Sega CD games, etc.) I love Sega, but would not have bought a modem seperately. PS2 will have to do better than a neanderthal sport title, and an old PC port.

I think that was a very well done April Fools.
I didnt get my hopes up to much, because there was no Link.
But I was still hoping a little bit.
Very well done.

I didn\'t fall for that.  The sentence "movies such as crouching tiger hidden dragon [etc] will be available for download this fall" was a dead giveaway.  If you read the entertainment trades, you know that Sony and the MPAA won\'t willingly let this happen anytime in the near future.

The part about Counter-Strike running on a PS2 was funny though.  I wonder if Gooseman and Cliffe would have the nerve to try it.  The typical CS player (especially at the counter-strike forum) is much more militant and defensive than the people I see posting on this board.  They\'re always declaring the end of the world with each new patch, so I\'m sure they would go berzerk if they knew that a slew of PS2 newbies were going to invade their servers...
