PS2\'s DVD player.
« on: April 08, 2001, 10:31:54 AM »
I haven\'t had any problems with any part of my PS2 so far, but one thing I\'m wondering about, is the stupid "sleep" (pause movie, sleep PS2, restart PS2, starts movie where it was paused) function of the DVD player.
On every movie I\'ve tried it on so far (about 6-7), when you wake up the PS2 with the reset button, it gives me a "cannot be performed on this DVD disk" or something, and starts from the beginning!  I realize these DVDs force you to watch the FBI junk at the beginning, and that\'s what\'s messing it up, but my old DVD player got around this!  It\'s really annoying, that function could be one of the best little features of the PS2.
Are they planning to release an update for the DVD drivers soon?  Arrrrgh!  Every DVD nowadays wants you to watch those damn warnings!
