Xbox or Gamecube?

The way the price for the XBox sounds, I won\'t be getting one.  (ie over 500 cdn).  I would consider a cube, but my N64 had only a few games that interested me.  PS2 and sony tend to bring out the "mature" games that interest me now.

Note that everyone thinks Microsoft is over-pricing the X-Box, but in fact they\'re not. $500 Canadian is about the same the PS2 came out for (PS2 was $450 Canadian), but this is what the X-Box is (supposedly) launching with IN THE BOX:

- 1 X-Box System
- 1 X-Box Controller
- 1 Modem
- 1 Hard-drive (i think)
- DVD-Movie Compatibility (w/ extra purchase of remote)

So $500 Canadian (or $300 US) would definitely be a bargain for an X-Box.

When I buy a system, games are always the main factor that urges me to purchase one. With that in mind, there is no way in hell I\'ll buy a Xbox over GameCube. Just look at the games that are already coming within the first year or two of its release( I could of named more but I only named the games that I\'m interested in).

Thornado
Rogue Squadron 2
Perfect Dark 2
Too Human
Eternal Darkness
Resident Evil: Zero
Saffire
Kobe Bryant 2
1080 2
SSX:SE
Wave Race 2
Sonic Adventure 3
Dinosaur Planet
Zelda
Mario

Most of these are exclusives too...

For Nintendo not actually announcing any games yet, the Gamecube has a surprising ammoung of quality games. It also seems like there\'s more "mature" games also. Even though Sega hasn\'t said anything about Sonic, it\'s pretty much a give-away that it will be on the Gamecube for the following reasons:

1) Sega has already announced titles for both the PS2 and X-Box. Nothing about Sonic. That could mean one of two things: either they don\'t want to announce it yet, or Nintendo\'s NDAs are protecting the information.

2) Sonic Team prefers Nintendo.

Another note. Saffire has recently been re-named to Mythos: Young Olympians. It\'s a really cheesy name, but hopefully it\'ll be a good game.

Well Nintendo got me into gaming while Microsoft brought me loads of annoying bugs - even though i can\'t hold that aginst them - i must choose GameCube for the simple fact that Nintendo does make great quality games and i wonder how many great games IMO will be on the Xbox - although i am sure i will buy both just probaly be getting a GC before a Xbox

If none of those games except Too Human interest you then:

a) You are a biased loser.
b) You have no taste
c) You have a very limited genre appeal
d) You don\'t like Nintendo & co\'s games.
e) Theres not enough info on the games, yet.
f) You just don\'t like those games.

Not only is there a wide range of games in that list in different genres but many of them will be awesome games and critically acclaimed (Don\'t believe me? Why don\'t we make a bet?).

It is your opinion and I can\'t blame you for not being interested in those games when hardly any [if any at all] info or screens have been released.

Oh please don\'t be such a fanboy. I never said those games where not good or bad. I said too human would most interest me becuase out of all those others it is one I never played. All the rest I know what too expect. From info I have it seems like it will be good. Is that so hard to believe.  I could careless about shining graphics in video games. It is all about the story and concept of the game that attracts me. Then you add great gameplay too it.  Army men air attacks could have the best graphics on ps2. I still would not like it because it does not appeal to me.  Posting your ABC\'s is yet childish and really stupid. An only because I like too human out of all the other games.
