Microsoft and Sony working together?!?!?!?!?!

thanks to the info from extended play:

first off, upon seeing high quality footage of FFX on tv, there is no question in my mind that it has the best textures in a video game ever.

GT3 A spec looks spectacular.

DOA 3 looks even better on tv (and has been in development for over 1 yr for the x-box according to tecmo).

But now for the interesting info:

Square expects world wide sales of over 10 million units for FFX and based on undisclosed pre-buy numbers, thinks that the number is easily achievable.

But now for the really weird stuff. Some dude from sony mentioned that they welcome the competition from the x-box in jpn and look forward to **working together in the future**??!!

Anyone else saw/is watching the show??

What in the world does that mean?!!! Maybe sony and ms are working on a hidden project. But if this is true I think it would have something to do with online play? What do you guys think?

The only way I can imagine Sony and Microsoft working together is if the x-box completely fails and Microsoft decides to make games for the ps2.  They have a huge 1st party system. :cool:

Well they do work together in a sense.MS supplies Sony with an operating system for their Vaio line of computers

Some "dude"? did u happen to get his name? Is he an important figure in Sony\'s PS2 department? If not then he\'s just some guy working with Sony expressing his opinion and has no power over what will happen with the PS2 or with SONY for that matter. Who knows, maybe the guy was just the security guard at one of the SONY buildings.
