Uh oh.

Sonyweb still has MGS2 being released in November of this year, but right now I\'m looking at "US PLAYSTATION" and they say:

I truly, truly hope this is wrong, though that seems unlikely. I would really like to have MGS2 to play over the Xmas break!

Frist GT3 gets it, now MGS2 too. That\'s OK, there is more titles coming out. So main thing that the game finish the right way. That\'s what matters.

i also heard that it was delayed till feb 2001 us but the japs are still on for nov/dec

Konami already comfirmed MGS2 for a Fall 2001 release in North America (there was a story about it at DR or IGN, search over there if you want proof).

Yeah, but anything can happen that would make them push it back.... You can\'t ever trust their release dates until the game is out.

this is getting a joke now, all these release dates slipping. i wish i didnt know they were coming out then a few months before they tell me an excact date before it came out.

You would think after all these years that developers could actually give everyone a realistic release date??

Man, the gaming community should impose deadlines for developers to bring games out by, just like I have with assignments at uni.

For every month that a game slips, they have to take $10 off the retail price of the game. I`d bet that would get alot of games out sooner.

Naw - if they did that, we\'d have a lot of incomplete, buggy, rushed games coming out all the time. I just wish more companies would say something later, and then move up the release date, just before release.

ie. "We predict Dec. 2001 (when they think it\'ll be Aug. 2001)" That way it would be on time or early. Oh well.

No way. As one of the biggest Metal Gear fans on this site I have been following the game every since it was announced that they would be making a MGS2 and trust me, Konami is hell bent on getting this game out by the end of 2001. In Japan, 2001 is the year of the snake, so they will do anything to get it out in time. And Konami themselves said that the US would be getting it before Japan.

i cant stand reading about delays, now i relize when i game actually comes out ill know its out, wont read anything about delays they just piss me off
