The rise and fall of EVO 4X4

I love Racing games. My favorite game in the whole wide world is Gran Tourismo 2, and when I saw EVO I thought GT Off Road! But I was sadly mistaken. Graphics A+, handling and response A, choice of vehicles is pretty good although I thought the Land Cruiser and Hummer should have been part of the cast, but here comes the bad stuff. I get my starting money , buy a truck, race and begin my upgrades...took me a while but I got enough for some bigger tires and a lift kit. Lo and behold the next time I race, the AI trucks have the same thing.Coincedence? No. I buy a roll bar just to see, and sure enough next race, we ALL have roll bars. Where`s the edge? Why buy anything for the truck when you`re simply beefing up the competition as well? And as if THAT werent enough, I set my trans for top end accl so I have less torque on the snow track thinking if they have the same equipment,I can at least out set them with customization. They ALL were set just like mine. 3 other trucks just like mine, racing like me, handling like me. Nothing but one big Ghost racing program. And there are no trophies or ratings for the races completed, just new ones to race, and then it`s just more of the same old same old, but under different weather. Now I havent played the whole thing through and  I only have two trucks, but I`m not wasting any more time on this game than I aleady have. I`ll just have to wait ever so patiently for GT3 to come out ( if it ever does, postpone....postpone...) and hope that the next off road racing delight comes from someone other than GOD Games.

and there\'s no way to turn this off, maybe there\'s a menu feature that keeps them from copying you ???????

I was looking for GT3 this afternoon, I stumbled across 4x4 , i must say that it looks very nice, i have seen it demoing so I can\'t really say how it plays

yeah ive heard this game suckd, but thats crappy that they get the same stuff as you

yep its all true i played it al while back and i was so mad - its take forever to earn enouh money to fix up your truck and the races don\'t give you much to work with since you have to race each one perfectly to win

Its really weird that. Its like they actually programmed that to happen. Seems strange. I\'ve also heard the game is worth avoiding.

Boy, am I glad I got the game free, it sucks a lot, and it\'s remained in its case after the 10 minutes I tried it for. I\'m gonna get rid of it asap....
