We have just seen a suprise hit, a game called Spider-Man "The Movie Game", inspired by the movie (due next year). Boy were we Gub smacked! The game is being developed by Treyach. We spoke to Chris Soares (Creative Director) who played through a level they had just worked on the day before, and all I can say is WOOOWW !!!!! Don\'t go by our words, check out the videos and pics below, they\'ll blow you away!
Summary:

SPIDER-MAN: The Movie Game immerses the player in the high-swingin\', web-slingin\' world of the Hollywood film starring Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe (due for release in May 2002). The player assumes the role of the super hero himself, weighing great power with great responsibility as he embarks on a career to thwart crime and put an end to a mastermind criminal, the Green Goblin, and his legions of evil. All-new aerial combat, in-air control free-roaminf capabilities add to a franchise that has already enjoyed astonishing success.ALL-NEW AERIAL COMBAT: Fight evil high above, below, and throughout New York City in a dizzying array of battles.ALL-NEW SUPER VILLAINS: Take on the Green Goblin and other arch-enemies, including Shocker, Vulture, an Scorpion, and experimental HK units compliments of OSCORP INDUSTRIES.FREE-ROAMING CONTROL: Exceptional maneuverability and in-air control lets you swing and and crawl anywhere to look for trouble. i already thought there was a ps2 spiderman game...
oh well this one will appeal to the younger audience..:D

No. There is a Spiderman game for the Psone with a sequel in the making. The Spiderman game was developed by Neversoft then ported to the Dreamcast by Treyach. Did I mention that it truly is the best superhero game out there? It is friggin\' awesome, \'cept too easy..

This game needs a few things to make it truly excellent.

1: Keep all the various suits that was in the previous game. I had a blast goin\' thru the game again and again getting each suit. Not to mention the symbotie suit is just cool as hell.

2: Moreeeeeee swinging action.

3: Make it harder. Alot harder. Perferably MDK2 hard.

Either way, this is game is on my must buy list.. Now how about a decent Batman game,eh? ;)

The shots aren\'t too impressive. Im not really keen on Movie tie-ins they tend to be naff. Ill wait and see on this game. ;)
