Just one thing;

Grandia 2 isn\'t a SEGA game.

RichGUK, sorry bout that. There are some things some people will never understand about me. 1) My undeniable love for all things Virtua Fighter, and 2) that 3rd leg growing between my other two.

Virtua Fighter 3 only had one new character. Big Deal. It had varying enviroments that including height changes that would make you change your fighting style depending on where you were and where your opponenet was. It also added in the dodge button which added about 500 combos to a game with already around a couple thosand (no joke, I have a faq for Shun Di that is 28 pages long of just moves) Virtua Fighter 4 will have eroding enviroments that effect what does on in the game. I just dont see how you can be looking forwartd to a new Tekken while totally avoiding another groundbreaking title from Sega.

The reason VF doesnt add a bunch of characters and has no secret characters is that it takes years to master a character, having ten or so characters is more than enough to be effecient with any of them, but there are more than 10 and they are adding 2 more characters, just for you.

Play 18 Wheeler, it is quite a fun game, maybe not worth 40 bucks, but worth the Sega name.

IronFist - i was not refering to Tekken 4, although I would be surprised if they added anything of worth to the already tired series. I was talking of Tekken 3, I dont remember any major style changing enviroments in it or anything else really new about 1 to 3.

Tekken has changed a lot more than you think becuase you don\'t prefer it and thats fine

but Tekken is based towards mainstream gamers - while VF is based to the Hardcore - no mainstream player wants to play a game for years to master it

but i Tekken has had many changes - there are a lot of things that Tekken started off having that made it great and didn\'t need to have held back to make the next sequel look better - Tekken has had many new characters/moves/cool music/and altogether is a great package and the only thing that is missing to it is depth in the gameplay - if it had this then it would be an awesome game
This Sig is a Work in Progress.

Also in i thread i used the words "heard"and "might"if you get confirmed from these words then, there is something wrong with you.

The US mag did too... so that makes it ok to continue using rumors to say Sega isn\'t supporting XB more? No, it isn\'t.

The only two games I really want from Sega are VF4 and a new Sonic.  It\'s getting one of those, so I\'m happy. :)

Let me correct you by saying that you are wrong.

Nintendo has not released any info on its online plans. That doesn\'t meant that it has no plans. Remember, Nintendo is very secretive about itself.

The NGC has an adapter port on the bottom to connect to a broadband adapter or a modem.  That in itself shows that Nintendo plans to offer online capabilities to the NGC.

Silence doesn\'t equal denial.

They added characters.Great. Along with new characters comes new moves, so that is a given. And for new characters come new stages, which add new music. Whoopee. That adds exactly 0 more playability than the previous title.

Thank you for proving my point. The only updates in the 3D fighter realm come from Namco.

VF 3 has 2 new characters, right? Aoi and Takarashi.

If you were disappointed w/ VF adding only 2 new characters, why were you not disappointed w/ Namco adding only 2 new characters for Tekken 3? Xiaoyu and Eddy. As I said in a previous rant, Namco inflates the character count and may fool you into believing there are actually more new characters but it\'s just new name, new look, almost exactly the same controls.
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

By the way, what do you expect Sega to give Sony when they\'re the primary reason for the impending death of the DC?

Sony the reason for the Death of the dreamcast, one of them but definatly not the primary one.

What was Sony ment to do, not produce good consoles incase the Dreamcast suffered.

Also how about these for reasons for the death of the dreamcast ?

1) Segas bad record with previous hardware put people off, this hardware includes Sega Saturn, Mega CD etc.

2) The fact that there marketing was really poor. I don\'t know about the states but in the UK Sega haven\'t really marked a console since the megadrive (that\'s genesis for most of you :)) days.

3) They never seem to purchase rights to games. They lost Tomb Raider and Resident Evil in the Saturn days that was going to affect them big style.

There probably is a few Sega games in development for PS2 but if what your saying was true, that they aren\'t developing games for sony cause it helped towards its death then thats Sega\'s loss.

AlterBeast: No hard feelings. :)
