New Mario to be more mature?

Personally, I would have bought Mario whether they changed it or not, but I\'m glad Nintendo is doing something to attract mature audiences. I don\'t know how much they could really change Mario though. Maybe they should leave Mario alone and start a new, more mature franchise.

and yes, I am aware of the fact that a lot of people do, it is just my opinion, and I don\'t even mean the games are all that bad, but I just don\'t like the character itself

Could it be like Conker\'s Bad Fur Day? Having Mario and Luigi in a gone adult world?  Jumpman may have a point. Though they they won\'t have a three-some. But could Bowser be doing something like looking at a Playboy I guess will have to wait and see.

Only two things need to be changed in the next Mario game to make me satisfied with it being a "more adult" title. First off, take that silly M off of his hat and replace with the word PIMP. Secondly, leave the gameplay and style alone, but once Mario saves Princess Peach from Bowser for the umpteenth time.. have him bend her over the nearest toadstool and give her the high hard one.. cause it\'s about damned time he got something worth all the trouble he\'s gone through.

But why does Nintendo feel so compelled to make it a Mature Mario game, why can\'t they make a newer mature paltformer with a whole new world and whole new characters.

I wonder how it\'ll affect the series having this happen. I read ages ago that Miyamoto said that he wanted the next Mario to be more mature, and by that he means the LOOK of mario himself to be more mature. After all at the moment he\'s a short, stocky, pudgy littly guy with huge blue eyes and a smile on his face... maybe this time round he\'ll be smoking a joint with a huge scar on his face, a few teeth missing and his hat backwards....

then again maybe not

We\'re reading into this way too far.  Miyamoto still wants the game to be played by little kids, he just wants more older gamers to find it appealing.  He feels that it late teen-early twenty demographic is what is weakest for the Mario games...

I think we might see a level or two that\'s more intense, maybe some creepy music and dark lighting (oxymoron?).

There might be some more voice acting, too, I think that would be a reasonable step...  It\'s tough to commit a voice to the character though, so maybe just dialogue.  We\'ll see, just don\'t expect sex, drugs, guns, and swearing...  It is still Mario. ;]
