This is EVERYTHING I needed to hear [read]...ya see, I\'ve got this game (still shrunk-wrapped) in my grubby little hands as I write this...but I needed to review my trusty forums one more time before a break the seal and enjoy what will undoubtedly prove to be an enjoyable game.

I\'d tried out the demo that came in the mail sometime back and had been unimpressed...but by all accounts over the last 2 days I gathered I was going to be nicely surprised.  Today\'s reports just added to the likelihood of a great game.

Okay...so its time to go play!!!

Oh yeah, JerginsSoft...dood, what\'s with the wife????  Man, if you\'re old enough to be married (and in a couple more days you\'ll be ONE YEAR OLDER)...then you ought to be old enough to receive a birthday present early...doncha think???!!!

Picture this: Dave finds an available seat for his \"Aggressive Drivers Anonymous\" encounter group session.   Saying, \"Hello\" he sits amongst his support group of S2K owners...  Smiling, they rock ever-so-gently to and fro in their chairs...humming peacefully...drinking coffee...and rolling little AutoArt & Maisto S2000s across their knees.  At this moment, the group responds in unison, \"Hi, w1ngman!\" :D

I\'m getting her right now, so she can read this...

Dammit, we\'re all mature, responsible adults...NOW GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!

She has her pre-conceived notion of what birthdays are supposed to be like, and, like most women, will not deviate from it one bit.  Its kinda like how she planned on improving me before we got married.

SHEESH, women!  :D

In the meantime, stop torturing us less fortunates with the details, will ya?

Few things for now...

1st - THIS GAME ROCKS!!!!

2nd - I\'m not sure Volition didn\'t do themselves a disservice by offering the demo like they did...The final game is SOOOO much better (course I realize that\'s what betas are all about...but is every gamer aware of that???).  Anyway, hope the demo\'s word of mouth does not spread too poorly & hurt this great games sales!!!

3rd - Let ya\'ll in on a little secret (its probably in my profile...but anyway, it makes this game ROCK all the more: my name is Dave Parker...so don\'t you know that for more than most, I get to enjoy this game on a more personalized level...WAAAAY COOOL!!!  PS. Doncha know this was a great plus at the end of MGS too when I found out Snake\'s first name was Dave?!  O yeah, its good to be me!!!

4th - I probably did not get very far...I died working up a series of ladders (dropped to severe, hurtful death)...WTF???  When you die...you die???  I mean, "Return to the Main Menu"???  What about, "You poor b@$t@rd, you can start over where the game last loaded into the next level"...no, instead I get to return to the Main Menu... Jeez!

5th - Related to the previous point, even though this game uses ALL the Dual Analog buttons, did I read the manual first???  Well of course not, so I didn\'t know that the Select button would give me a chance to save...Now I\'ve read the manual of course....  Additionally...the controller\'s configuration ROCKS!  This is becoming quite intuitive -- Now I want to be able to use this configuration for playing Counter-Strike on my PC.  Someone\'s bringing out a USB PS-style Dual Analog PC controller soon (I heard on TechTV)...hope it works for CT!!!

6th - edited to add one more legit note...Watched the Credits through...  All the team offers words of personal thanks to loved ones etc. (which I thought was cool)...and one guy, Dan Wertz, mentioned he has a dog named SEGA.  Thought that was a great name for a pet animal (no disrespect to Sega)...Just kinda neet...

7th - 8th - 9th...  Ahhhh...this game is just fine!  Definitely will get my $$$\'s worth!!!

Hope others are continuing to enjoy this as much as I am!!!

PS. JerginsSoft...Man, don\'t get your wife pissed at me!!??  I got enough to do to keep my own wife happy ;)
