Triple H Injured!
« on: May 24, 2001, 06:57:09 PM »
Ok, I don\'t know the details on this but it was from a very reliable source; Sportscenter. They stated that HHH tore his quadracep (sp?) and he will be out for a couple months.

Big Hit To WWF\'s storylines!! Lets see what happens tonight on Smackdown.
If TheGR81 hits you, he\'ll kill you. If TheGR81 misses, the wind behind the punch will give you Pneumonia, and you\'ll die anyway.

Sportscenter has on it the Triple H was injured?

Fascinating sport wrestling is.  By the way, when did Wrestling become a sport?  Are there any other sports with a scripted outcome?  Do we already know who is going to win indy this weekend?  Ooops, is racing a sport?  Why even play the NBA playoffs if we already have a winner?  Oh yeah, it\'s a sport..  We don\'t know.

Hehehe, Triple H was injured from acting to hard.

well, it\'s not a sport, it\'s "Sports Entertainment"

hehehe, i used to laugh when they first started calling it that way back, they had to ackonowledge it as sport, but also as fake, a scripted soap opera sort of thing, for guys.
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

Almost every wrestling post, some Jackass has to come in and say "Wrestling Isn\'t a sport", "Its scripted", bla bla bla.

No one asked for your damn opinion on what wrestling is, I posted it for all of the wrestling fans on this board to realize that one of the major stars in the WWF is out for about 6 months.

The sad thing is, it just happened while he was stomping to make a big sound effect for a punch.  Talk about a freak accident.  And to think that with a ligament torn in half and rolled up in his leg, he took the Walls of Jericho on the announce table.  He said "it felt like he was ripping my leg off.  It really did."

He had successful surgery just last night and will begin the road to recovery.  When he had a knee injury, he rehabbed nine hours a day, every day to get back into shape.  He says that\'s what he will do again, so I think we might see him back in the ring in 4 months, and on tv in maybe 3.

Mpoint wasn\'t as much about how wrestling is useless drivel.  It was more how I can\'t believe sports center would actually report it.  You think if Courtney Cox tripped on an endtable taping a Friends episode that they would report it?

True.  In Sports Center\'s defense, at least wrestlers are athletes. (i.e. if in no more a sense than that they are extremely athletic)

Also, in Sports Center\'s defense, \'sports entertainment\' has the word sports in it, so why not put wrestling on the show from time to time, since wwf stars usually bring up ratings whenever they\'re mentioned...

What\'s interesting, though, is I wonder if sports center covered the XFL?

hmm...

Maybe they should have covered wrestling in that stupid show Sports night.  That would work cause that\'s acting too..

Vince McMan(sp? but who cares) stated that wreseling is NOT a sport a while back when people still believed that it was not scripted so he whould not have to pay an extra sport event charge to air wrestling events on Payperview and that is basically how the truth came out. allthough u dont need truth they all look like pansies up on the ring swinging at air.

Back when I use to be a news photographer I went to a couple events just to get a little bit of video.  Here are two things I noticed.

A) Not only do they not hit each other, but they don\'t even come close.  The only way they could come further from hitting each other is if their backs were facing each other.

B) The people who go to those events are morons.  Anyone who makes a sign and goes to an event needs to take a long hard look at him/her self.
