http://www.computerandvideogames.comKonami is yet again leading the way in pushing PlayStation 2, and this time you’re going to look more than a little daft during play
Ask yourself this question: do you want to stand in your living room leaning backwards and forwards in front of your TV holding a piece of plastic? The obvious answer is "yes". Police 911 has proved something of a revelation for the arcade, certainly in terms of making people look distinctly stupid in motorway service stations, and the home version works surprisingly well. E3 was the first airing for the PlayStation 2 conversion.
It’s fairly simple stuff. You hold a trackball in one hand, which is used to drag a target around the TV screen. Play is similar to Time Crisis, with you taking on the role of a cop confronting with squillions of baddies and tons of stuff to sneak behind. The difference this time is that you actually have to move your body in front of a camera sitting on top of the PlayStation 2 to dodge bullets by hiding behind cars, walls and the like.
Very good it is too. The title’s novelty value worked well on the showfloor of E3. There are no details as yet regarding a bundle with the USB camera, but we should know soon. Take a look at the shots in the meantime.
