You need to listen to the underground stuff. You have also got to remember that Hip hop is still a very young genre(a little over 20 years old). When rock was this young the mainstream songs were all about sweet sweet loving with my sweetheart and stuff like that. It took a few years for some real meaningful rock to come to the forefront and the same is going to happen with Hip-hop.

Thats my 2 copper.

My bad if I offended you but for the most part Rap and Hard Rock fans don\'t like Country.

It wouldn\'t let me post my huge Winamp playlist:D

I don\'t really consider myself attached to any genre, and I like and dislike portions of all genres. I\'d have to say that Rap and yes, country are the ones I stay away from, I mostly love the classic rock from the 60\'s and 70\'s. Give me the Beatles or Gordon Lightfoot or Doobie Brothers or Buffalo Springfield anyday:)

I also have tons of game and movie tracks, and when I\'m not in a rockin mood that\'s what I listen to.

I also have bits of classical and techno.

My current favorite song is "Ants go Marching" by Dave Matthews Band.

Maybe you\'re right besides I got a lot of underground Eminem shiznit and I like some of it more that his albums but we\'ll see in the future if rap can make it into the next 20 years without the all powerful "C" joining it\'s name.

anyone who\'s into punk or rock or punkrock has to check out one of the greatest bands no one has ever heard of
NOMEANSNO
the most talented band i\'ve ever heard next to mr. bungle
\"If Christopher Reeve were alive today, I\'m sure he\'d be the first to say, \'Blue M&Ms? Are you fucking kidding me?\'\"
[PPS:] I\'m doing science and I\'m still alive.
[PPPS:] I feel fantastic and I\'m still alive.
[FINAL THOUGHT:] While you\'re dying I\'ll be still alive.
[FINAL THOUGHT PS:] And when you\'re dead I will be still alive.

Though they might be getting a little on the grey side, they are still an incredibly tight band. One of the two times that I caught them live, is right up there with one of the best live performances I have ever witnessed. Never did catch the Hanson Brothers :(

I personally like a wide variety of stuff, but I\'m currently more into REM, Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews Band, Presidents of the USA, Offspring, and Nirvana than anything. All of my music is in MP3 form; I\'m the music industry antichrist. :)

I\'m listening to "Peruvian Skies" by Dream Theater at the moment.
the earthquake hits the theater
but the operetta lingers
then the piano lid comes down
and breaks his ****ing fingers

saw them once live very pleased but the songs on the new cd are too long i liked 0+2=1 better than wrong but every thing after that just doesnt seem to have the same magic they start to go over people\'s heads and it just kinda ruins the songs

Yeah I agree. Their last few albums did little for me, but their older stuff, like wrong and 0+2=1 are killer. The second time I caught them live, they had the 2 drummer thing happening; they toured across Canada as NOMEANSNO, and returned back as the Hanson Brothers.

They had the 2 drummer thing when I saw them too. It was cool as hell. Being a drummer myself I really got a kick out of it.
