Let\'s examine the list

There are 7 games that are 1st/2nd party, and 14 that are 3rd party.

That\'s not too bad.... right?

I\'ve seen a few release lists lately, but this one looks the most promising.  What with Eternal Darkness, Madden, Pikmin, SSBM, Wave Race, and SSX Tricky all tentatively planned for launch (SSX Tricky on the 15th); that makes 7 for 1st/2nd party, 14 for 3rd party, and 6 for my television set.

I\'m gonna be broke this Winter, but I\'ll be damned if I won\'t be enjoying it, heh.

Oh, and I\'m not a fanboy... I\'m sure some other consoles will have some ok games too, or something... ;]

I think it is solid.  That\'s a lot more than I expected from Nintendo at first.  I hope this list holds up though... Nintendo might attempt to delay a couple of 3rd party games to help sell their (Nintendo) games.

hmmm that\'s a possible thinking strategy, but I\'d have to suggest against it. I think, for the benefit of the public\'s view of the "new nintendo", they really need the MAXIMUM amount of 3rd party titles out there at launch. I think a lot of people will be pleased with that lineup, I damn sure am. And we already know from confirmed games lists, that following this launch will be another wave of top quality nintendo games, and 2nd and 3rd party games.

Yes, nintendo have gotten things right thus far, I just hope they don\'t delay 3rd party games

Lugi\'s Mansion, Pikimin and Batman are the only titles I see interesting for launch. Maybe Star Fox, but I truly doubt it.

Too bad Resident Evil 0 won\'t make launch.

yEAH Luigi, Stars wars, and Eternal Darkness are the only games I see worth buying. Madden has always been on nintendo and it is never any good. Inside court is a horrible basketball games so I would never get that.

I am not a big wave race fan. I could get a cube at launch but I am going to wait and just stick with XBOX.
Early 2002 better games will be out.

Hmm . . . the only titles which interest me are these: Boldfaced titles being one\'s I\'m probably going to buy.

Luigi\'s Mansion
Super Smash Bros.
Eternal Darkness Nintendo

Star Fox Adventures
Wave Race
Batman Dark Tomorrow

I\'m pretty much sold on a Game Cube, and this list isn\'t all that bad. It\'s certainly leaps and bounds beyond their last system launch lineup. But I was kind of hoping for a Mario title, or perhaps the new Metroid. They most likely wouldn\'t launch Mario and Luigi at the same time though, considering the Mario title would overshadow it\'s counterpart, cutting into sales. It just doesn\'t seem like a Nintendo launch without Mario, though.

Geesh, this is going to be one expensive year! I\'ve never been bombarded with so many video game expenses as I am now.
Is this good or bad? I lost perspective on the matter last October with PS2 :boom:

I\'m extremely happy with this list. Most Nintendo systems usually get only 1 or 2 games at launch but NGC is getting 17! Who was the idiot that said Nintendo has no 3rd parties? :p

The titles that interest me are:

Eternal Darkness
Luigi\'s Mansion
Wave Race:Blue Storm
Pikmin
Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2
Star Fox Adventures(although I\'m a little skeptical on this one)

That\'s six, and I\'ll only be able to afford a measly ONE  at launch and two a Christmas. Yeah, being 14 sucks. Too bad Nintendo isn\'t spredding their big hits out. That would seriously help me.

The thing that scares me is that the majorityof hits will come out in 2002 and I\'ll already be broke by then. In 2002, GameCube will get Too Human, the next Mario, a Pokemon game that will connect with GBA which will sell like mad, the next Zelda, Perfect Dark 2, METROID, Kameo, and probably a whole lot more that are still unknown.  I have to get all these games because they have a hold on me. Yes, Pokemon may be extremely kiddie, but the GBC versions were just so ****ing addictive and fun, they\'re really underrated by hardcore RPG fans. I have to get Mario because it\'s Mario, I have to get Zelda because it\'s Zelda, I have to get Too Human because the ET engine is using a smaller version of Too Human\'s and this game has been in development for a vast amount of time, I have to get PD2 because Goldeneye, and I have to get Metroid because it\'s Metroid. Yeah, all these games have a major hold on me and I must have them. I might only get 1 or 2 games within 2001 for NGC because of them. Damn you Nintendo.
[/unintelligent rant]
