I\'m not going to buy it.

they have announced a wrestling game, and I cannot wait to play mario kart, and all the other great games that Nintendo has.  For only 200 bucks I can have my PS2, and Gamecube side by side.  Now I must go pre-order it.  Nintendo I\'m finally coming home again.

WWF Wrestlemania: Heralded in the interactive videogame community as the definitive wrestling game publisher, THQ and Jakks Pacific will provide even more electrifying experiences in 2002 as Wrestlemania returns to Nintendo with an all new release for Nintendo GameCube. Sources indicate that developer Aki has been in possession of GCN development hardware for months with work on the GCN wrestler steadily progressing.

Sweet mother of crap - yes!  Hehe, it\'s no secret that these games have been topping my list since they started.  This is fantastic news.  Unfortunately, I have the feeling the game could be a year away.  They usually put them out in November...  Then again, in the words of Chris Benoit: Prove me wrong! ;]

I don\'t really care how much a console costs. I look to how good the games will be. I imported a DC about 3 months after it came out in Japan. Cost me 350 bucks,  but I didn\'t care, I was playing 128 bit titles, while you guys were stuck in 32 :) So far, Gamecube aint cutting it for me yet. The titles just dont look interesting to ME. I will be getting an X-Box at launch, no doubt, but I will wait a few months, at least, for GC, like I did for PS2.

I have full intenions of buying a GC at launch. Like Altered though, I don\'t care about the price. If a console is worth what they charge, I have no problems paying it.

No way I am doing that, I like playing video games but not enough to spend another 300 bucks on a system.  I invested over 500 bucks on the PS2 with 4 games in December, no way I\'m doing that again.

I paid 500 for a 3DO some time after it came out, that was a tad pricey, but I don\'t regret it, as I have around 30 games for mine.

I paid 400 for my Saturn. Again, no regrets. This is my favorite system of all time and would easily do it again, in an instant. GC just doesnt warrant a purchase from me yet. I need like Sonic 3, Phantasy Star 5, or a new Shining Force game for me to freak out like I am over Panzer Dragoon 4 on X-Box at launch, with JSR: Future a couple weeks after and Project Ego coming too!

Nintendo announced the Gamecube will be $199 US, and that the games will be $49 US (the same as current Playstation 2 games).

Just because someone is "pro-Sony" doesn\'t mean they can\'t enjoy other systems.

Thank you Saotome, and yes I did say that at once but I was really directing it to Microsoft instead of Nintendo, do you think i would really support an American made console:) maybe next time I will, I may support the XBox somemore if they can prove its worth.......

I have always liked nintendo, and I\'m stilllllllll pro Sony.

i guess you werent here durin e3, when nintendo announced that the gamcube will be 250$ at launch.
i am quite sure about that.

and i am wondering why because he contradicted himself in the first post of the thread, saying that he wont buy the gamecube, but then saying that he cant wait for games coming out on the gamecube.

i know that people can enjoy ALL systems.  my reason for saying that was because he was a really big sony fanboy, and out of knowhere he kinda changed his stance...

I will have to agree with Saotome
It is 199 US
Thats what the Eb site says it also is selling for.

As for the game I have no clue if it is 49 US each
Doesnt matter to me anyways, being in Canada games cost around 80 bucks and up around here anyways :(

Eh?? Unless I\'ve missed out on something big, Nintendo announced a launch price of $199 at E3, and hasn\'t changed their stance since.

It\'s definitely $199. And I\'d get it (as GC has a lot of games I want) for $300 if need be. Price doesn\'t bother me.

I\'m not sure but I think it was because of the topic: "I\'m buying me a Gamecube, for only 200 bucks, no way [...] I\'m not going to buy it."

A bit of a strange way of putting it, but perhaps that was what he meant... otherwise it\'s just plain odd. ;)
