Twisted Metal interview

SoW: In the past couple of years, Sony has been making a stronger run at being a top producer of quality titles. The upcoming Gran Turismo 3 is proof enough, but do you believe that TM: Black will make a similar statement about Sony\'s steady rise?

DJ: I think so. Black has been given massive amounts of time to make sure it came out "just right." It\'s been supported and nurtured by so many different people that really want it to be the best it can be. SCEA knows that the future of interactive entertainment can be massive and they are doing everything they can to give their first party teams the resources to deliver really amazing experiences—it\'s a very cool time to be working at SCEA . The enthusiasm for what this system can do and what the future of games can be is tangible.

SoW: Being a designer, you must have a better understanding about the PS2\'s potential than most. After working on TM: Black, would you say that Sony\'s console allows designers more ease and freedom, or is it more difficult and cumbersome to work with the hardware?

DJ: All I know is I\'d call the developer and ask for something and 90% of the time, it would end up in the game. I had no issues at all.

Pretty interesing.  Here\'s the rest of the interview. http://www.sonyweb.com/features/tmbinterview.html
