Which console has better facials?

I stole this topic and the x-box and Gcube pics from the msxbox forum.  But it\'s an interesting comparison.

Out of these pics, I think the ps2 wins it with The Getaway.  If you know of any other games with good facials, feel free to post them. :cool:

I\'ll take it from the people who were at E3. I know they said that of all of the Madden 2002s, GameCube players faces looked the most realistic. So I\'ll go with them on that. The Xbox\'s look all like they are playstic though. Plus remember that ED was transfered to the GC and it isn\'t a true game that would emphisize GC\'s facial abbilities. You\'d really have to see the dude in the GetaWay picture to see how he really is.

The xbox models are the best. That Kobe Bryant shot from the GC has the best texture and that last pic looks the best overall; but I think its FMV where as the other two are not.

BTW, Why such crappy GC screenshots?

Like I said, if you can find better pics, post them.  And that last pic is pre-rendered, but it\'s using in-game models.  So it can be included in this comparison. :cool:

What game is that last picture of?  It looks like the same quality as the new FF movie!

It\'s from the Getaway.  That character is modeled after a real person.  The textures on his face are unmatched. :cool:

You can\'t accually compare the Kobe face or the ED face. Like I said, ED was made for the 64. And Sports game faces are made to have about 10+ characters on screen at once. There aren\'t may good faces of GC to show you where the main character is 1 person and they haven\'t been modeled for a 64 game before. While they have been remade to try and fit the GC, it still isn\'t the same. Rest assured we will see what Link looks like, if he looks real or if they try and make him look fantasy like.

The moral of the screenshot story?  Better faces do not make for more enjoyable games.

Accually for some people it brings the enjoyable factor up .5 or 1 click with the better facials. Enjoyable is the game with the graphic involed in the gameplay. Now, if you said gameplay that would be totally different.

Actually, with the screenshots I gave, it\'s more of an artistical preference then anything else.  A lot of people may prefer the 3D synchronized speeches of MGS2, while others prefer the hand-drawn 2D codec screens of MGS and MG: Ghost Babel.  I\'m not going to start a 2D vs 3D debate here, but having more improved facials is a very trivial thing in games as well as comparing them.

Well then I would like you to know then that I like cheese.
