Sorry, I\'m not that informed over Nintendo stuff. Could you give me some background info?
Sure. Retro Studios is a relatively new company made up of third-party defectors from other companies. Nintendo thought, "ooh, that sounds special" and hired them as a second-party.
So then Nintendo hands them the Metroid franchise in addition to an RPG, a car-combat game, and I think a sports title.
One by one, the porjects disappeared until at E3 when only Metroid and Ravenblade remained.
Unfortunately, progress was extremely slow, and even then, the established build of Metroid was deemed "crappy." Follow that to this morning when it was announced that Ravenblade was also cancelled, along with contracts of 26 employees, to focus on Metroid.
Metroid, a game which may be doomed from the ground up just for being redesigned as a FPS.
