Do you think she was killed by a Serial killer, or do you think Gary Condit is responsible for her disappearance?  Do you think she is in hiding?

I think that she\'s quite dead. Who did it? I\'ve got to think Condit had something to do with it, though I doubt he would have actually killed her. It\'ll be interesting to find out though.

Maybe Condit hired a Mafia Hitman?  I also think he has something to do with her disappearance.  I was watching a program on T.V and John Walsh(I think that\'s his name) who does the T.V show America\'s Most Wanted said that he believes a Serial Killer may be responsible.  The police are looking into this.

I have no doubt that she is dead. When someone is missing this long there is little chance they are alive.  Who did it? It isn\'t for me to say. If it is a serial killer the police should have a record of other crimes very close to this one. Also, it is big city. Alot of things can happen. She could of been picked up, raped and dumped along the roadside. Then again, Condit could have something to do with it.

I find it odd that the police have yet to name him as the prime suspect, because anytime there is a missing person case and suspected foul play, the lover is always the number one suspect.

Even if Condit did it, we still need a body to actually call it a homicide. Then, I still truly doubt anything will be done. The American Jusitice system isn\'t the best.

Exactly.  I can\'t believe the police are ruling out Condit as a suspect.  It\'s becoming a cold case.

It always has been a cold case. In a city that size a missing person case is really hard to work. Then you take in important political figure as the lover, it makes it even harder.

Unless her body turns up on the side of the road dead, then this will remain an open missing persons case with no resolution or arrests.  And even then, I doubt we see an arrest.

I purposely haven\'t been following the news of the case, so I can\'t say either way. I will say that whatever the outcome, it will be a huge political and media clusterf*ck which I am REALLY not looking forward to hearing about 24/7 every time I flick on the TV. I will agree that our judicial system is screwed. From the beat cops, right up to the judges of the supreem court. Thanks to this level of incompitence, there\'s a good possiblity that this will never be cleared up.

Somebody wake me when they find Jon Bennet Ramsey\'s killer....

Do you guys remember the Green River Killings in the 80\'s?  49 Women murdered, and the killer was never caught.  The killer picked up prostitutes in the Strip in Washington State.  The Green River Task Force spent $15 million on botanists, anthropoligists, seers, psychologists, lasers that could lift fingerprints, and computers that can match a face to a sliver of jawbone.  Justice denied.  Serial Killers are very hard to catch as they pick their victims at random, or when an opportunity arises.  The killer doesn\'t know the victim which makes it so hard for the police.  It\'s a scary world we live in.

Actually, yes I remember the Green River Killings. Some made the conspiracy theory up that the Green River killer was actually the Zodiac Killer, another uncaught famous serial killer.

Serial killers can be hard to catch, depending on the kind. Those with control are the hardest. When you have a sexual sadist like Ted Bundy or Jeffery Dahmer, they eventually get sloppy and do it more and more.

I actually spend alot of time reading on things like this. Serial killers, forensic science and so on.

Like you said, it is a scary world we live in. Sometimes the people we least expect turn out to be monsters (Hello? John Wayne Gacy?!?).

On the note of Condit not being a suspect you could look at it one of three ways. 1) They don\'t have enough evidence to actually make any suspects. But still, they should have at least an idea. 2) They don\'t want to create a political scandal. 3) The Police have reason to believe it is a "serial killer" and they don\'t want to create a public panic or they don\'t want the killer to know they have a "clue".

I personally think it is number two. If they believed it was a serial killer, more and likely they would let the public know. Does anyone remember the hysteria with Richard Rameriz? They had the public in a panic, so that they would be on their toes. So, I think three is a very silm chance. As for number one, they should have at least a suspect. The girl is a missing person and they have no reason to believe she ran away nor any evidence pointing towards running away.

The only reason this case is attracting the attenion it has, is because of her affair with Condit. People go missing everyday, but they don\'t take overtake all of the nations news. Which goes to show, its all about money and political ties in this country. If she would of just been another white girl who went missing, the cops would of passed it off as a runaway or waited for her body to turn up. There wouldn\'t of been such a fuss. But, because she slept with Condit , her case is more important then the other missing persons. Pretty sad, if you ask me.

The case isn\'t more important until the media attacks it.  What I think happened is well rumor \'round here is the Chandra was pregnant, and the baby was well Gary\'s.  Condit\'s wife comes to town (for the first time ever) and somehow Chandra goes missing very soon after she\'s checked in as a new OB somewhere.

Condit\'s wife had her kidnapped or killed, or the baby was illegally aborted.  Gary finds out, and now is trying to hide the truth to save his wife.

she\'s dead. will never be found. and if found, no one will be found guilty.

and did any of you guys notice that they never mentioned he\'s a democrat??
when any of this happens to a republican, they say "Republican Congressman john doe was charged with blah blah blah...."

but with gary, they say,"Congressman Gary Condit decided to talk with police today about the chandra levy case and his affair with her."

its soo sad...

Sheeesh, that girl gets more exposure just because she was having "sexual relations" with Conduit then if she was some everyday broad down the block. IMO. There are hundreds of people going missing, and nobody gives them this type of "on TV time".  :clown:

On a side note, geee, i guess being one of those politians pays well and they have some nice bonuses to boot... :D
They got all these interns sucking di@k for free. :D  IMO.
