wave rider

Wave race

If I had to pick right now I would say wave rider looks far more stunning than what nintendo is doing with wave race.

I haven\'t seen movies or very many pics for Wave Rider so I can\'t be judge.

But I will say that you must see Wave Race in motion to be impressed.  It\'s beautiful, the water is outstanding and the enviroments move around so smoothly.

Both look to set the standards for the system they\'re on...

The GC shot is better because the PS2 one has (look at the water):
*No real reflections
*Texture blurring
*Visible polygon boundaries

Clearly the GC pic. It\'s got water praying, and far better water in general. I think you picked a lousy pic for the GC one too, but that\'s beside the point.

They both look ****ty. Racer has lots of jaggies and Rider has lines going through the water and wierd looking joints. But Racer will mostly likely be funner.

I think you got some pretty poor pics there. The PS2 guy isn\'t even in motion, there is really no way to tell.

I would go with the GC picture..

But it seems to have crappy water-effects..

Splashdown has the best, yet..

Slpashdown looks better and just think gamecube came out almost 2 years after ps2.  Come on nintendo can\'t you do better than this.   Oh yeah waveracer cubed runs at 30fps which I think sucks.:thepimp: :thepimp:

Yeah the water effects look really good in the other PS2 shots you guys posted.

Also dont you think the guy on the jet ski looks really good?
Is there any movies that someone can post of the two games?
Because i think you can make a better judge ment when it is running.

LOL, I find it funny how you went out of your way to find a low-quality Wave Race shots, and it still looks better than whatever the **** the other game was.

For god\'s sake you can see lines in the water. The character model looks like crap btw.

Oh, and here are some better shots of Wave Race:Blue Storm

That shot\'s nice, because you can actually see every rain-drop hit the water.

It\'s looks better than Splashdown IMO. In SD,the characters models are weak, the water doesn\'t look real(neither does Wace Race\'s, but it looks too shinny), and not as clear and perfect reflections. Minor differences, but Wave Race is simply looks better.

And for anyone who thinks the game will be slow, download the movie entitled "Fast" at the bottom of this page. http://cube.ign.com/previews/15332.html

Are there any in-game shots of Wave Rally (Very Original Name :D) Here are some low quality shots of wave race. I don\'t know if the first one is in-game.

Very nice models.

Shweet water effects.

I\'m not posting for or against either game because, frankly, I don\'t plan on buying either one. I just want it to be a fair discussion.

Now, continue.

I think they both look like crap. In the end I\'m sure WaveRace will play better, but it\'s still lacking. They already stated that WaveRace will run @ 30fps. :( Plus, from the movies I\'ve seen of WR the music is junk. This isn\'t cartridge anymore, there\'s no excuse.

Despite all that, I\'ll prolly end up getting WR @ launch anyhow.
