Looks like MS is going to have a worse time then the PSX2 did....

Going to be interesting in the next couple months to see what happens..

So its all up to the GameCube to be the only system that deliverse teh amount it promised.

Well, they wanted 800,000 at launch. So if they can only make 500,000 it still would be just as good as the PS2 launch.

......Except people bought the PS2...

A month delay? This could be actually better for MS. It means they won\'t go head to head with Nintendo and brings them even closer to the holiday shoppers. Will it be good? I truly doubt it. I just like to think on the bright side of things.

this way,  the gamecube,  xbox and metal gear can be spread apart....wasnt shen mue 2 coming out around this time too?

 If thats true then November is going to be one heck of a month, I\'ll be getting Gamecube, Shen Mue and the all mighty Metal Gear all in the same month.... this is so beautiful... I think I got something in my eye.....

I personally don\'t care whether it\'s delayed or not, but here\'s an official statement from a M$ rep. (taken from voodooextreme.com)

We\'re not commenting on specific Xbox manufacturing efforts, but we can say that there is absolutely no problem with the design of Intel\'s motherboard. Intel has been a fantastic partner and has delievered on everything for Xbox to date. We\'re still marching toward our planned November 8 launch date for Xbox.

I agree everyone is talking this like is has come from xbox.com. Or some ms news report. This is just what some analyst thinks nothing more. How many ppl bothered to read the article because I think you guys missed this part........

James Bernard, a Microsoft spokesman, disputed the report. While he wouldn\'t comment about any possible manufacturing hang-ups, Bernard said that Microsoft will ship the number of Xbox game consoles it initially expected on time, as planned.

Typical Microsoft strategy.  Release it and who cares if it works.  It was made by us and people will buy it because of that.

all this really means . . .if its true. . . is that people that want one are gonna have to wait - i just dont see people that are for it that wont wait a month and what not - still its only a rumor so treat it as one
