But here\'s the kicker about humans. We\'re the only land mammals that have fat on the out layer of our bodies. Similar to dolphins and seals. Our body hair is streamlined like the dolphins (yes, they have hair, you just can\'t see them).
Now, I\'m not taking sides here. But the Bible did say that all creatures were created from Earth. So it would make sense that humans have common DNA with Chimps(who are 98% - not 99%, similar to our DNA).
Do I believe in evolution? Well....yes and no. In the Bible, God created Adam and Eve. When the two were banned from Eden, the Bible describes them going to a town. Now.....what\'s a town doing there? The translation maybe off from the Dead Sea Scrolls but maybe....just maybe....these Homo Sapiens(Adam and Eve) came upon a village of Neanderthals(very similar to us - just taller and stockier in build). That\'s my theory. God created everything. He just gave humans a little more than others.
Anthropoligist theorize that neanderthals were extinct not by dying off - but by cross breeding with modern humans. Its just our DNA was dominant and theirs was not. They were bred INTO extinction. If all these "ancestors" of ours were that smart, comared to the apes of today, why are they not around? Actually, there within our own genetic makeup now.
I think the Neanderthals died out due to global climactic changes, the appearance of Homo Sapiens, which meant competition for the Neanderthal. Maybe disease contributed to their demise too.
I don’t theorize about where we came from, theories like God created us from dirt, or little green men from outer-space deposited us here, are unproven, and will never have any credibility in the scientific community. This is where the word “Dogma” comes from, our beliefs…
btw, I like that movie.
I think what we need is some type of common ground we can all agree upon,
QUESTION: Does our universe need the existence of GOD? How did we come to be?
Our solar system formed about 4.5 billion years ago,
Earth was formed from mostly heavier elements, + carbon, oxygen etc…
Somehow all these different atoms arranged to form molecules of DNA.
The process of evolution was very slow at first, it took about 2.5 billion years to evolve from simple cells to multi-cell animals, and another billion years for fish + reptiles + mammals to evolve. Evolution has sped up enormously, we came from simple mammals to our current form in about 100 million years or so. The major contributor for us humans is the ability to write, reason, and understand our surroundings. Because of this, we have kept our knowledge and improved our lives, so we have a new way of evolving, not just biologically, but by information that is useful for us. Enough about us, lets talk about God.
Everything that begins to exist must have a cause, So,
If the universe began to exist from the big bang, then the universe has a cause.
There may be a being(s) that we can consider to be GOD(s), who have created our universe, but they surely don’t reside in our universe nor is god the universe.
Time is a dimension, with cause and effect, if time begins with our universe,
Then the cause of the universe could have originated by a creator (GOD)
I can’t prove or disprove this, nor would I want to try. I think humans are fabricating religious beliefs around this being (GOD). This being has nothing to do with our day-to-day operations though, it is not a personal GOD.
From the time of the cavemen we looked up into the sky and imagined our gods to be there, looking down on us, …
Maybe it is time to think differently, to see that religion is a conniving institution with greed, and human suffering as its motivators.
Conquest and greed play major factors in our last couple of thousands of years of evolving.
Flame on.
