Well I didnt relize that you could see for miles and miles when the air is moist..
And it does look like its raining like tomrob said..

Btw..
When you get to the higher points (like tower or mountains) in the game you can see farther..

You know what\'s funny? Some idiot openly insulted me today like you just did and now he\'s banned. Show\'s how much the forum cares about me. *sniff*

I knew I\'d get attacked by angry Sony loyalists for pointing out an obvious flaw in this game\'s graphics and was completely prepared for it. And if your going to say I\'m wrong, then back yourself up. Until then your all talk.

Just look at the mountain-blurry.

I\'m getting out of this topic. I really hope some of you people can realize how right I am on this point. The draw distance isn\'t great, it\'s not the end of the world people.

Sheesh.

Well another issue in regards to this so called draw distance and fogging is the fact that Jak and Daxter uses a realtime Day to night cycle and as you can see by this latest batch of screens  the game is  being played at twilight. dark and/or dusk. Obviously in these low light conditions draw distance should be affected.

Going back to the 1st batch of screens the draw distance is obviously fine, and reading quotes from 5 different game sites or more they all talk about the draw distance and how you can see so much happening in the distance

This is obviously a non issuse.

as for character designs and textures, they look just fine to me. I agree  they could be better, but they\'re plenty good enough and better then most PS2 games in texturing

I see your not used to seeing far away.

*goes upstairs*

*Looks out parents window to see a huge harbour far away*

*Not blurry like the J&D draw distance*

*last post*

I\'m done, it\'s like I\'m talking to a brick-wall. There\'s no point in me continuing since none of you seem to be admitting your wrong. The draw distance in this game is not great, GET OVER IT.

Hey Jumpman, you know when you focus in on something close, whether you are using a still camera, or a video camera, what happens to the scenery further away? Oh yes, thats right it gets blurry  silly me.

Get the Jak and Daxter E3 Trailer vid, watch it, then come back

Also Jumpman, you\'re missing the point of draw distance. Draw distance is how far you can see. Like the old school road thing. The game is still "Drawing" the scenery, whether is be misty or not. You\'ll find that fogging is just that, you don\'t see anything but fog. But here you still see the mountains, they are just out of focus, because the camera is focusing on Jak instead.

Driving games with bad "Draw Distance" mean the road isn\'t drawn until fairly close to you, hence pop-up. Games like GT3 have good Draw Distance because building are drawn way before you get to them.

My point is, the Jak & Daxter Engine IS drawing these mountains far away, so the draw distance IS good :bounce:

I don\'t see anything wrong with the draw-distance.
