If it\'s Osama Bin Laden, yes, we will probably go to war with Afganistan. President Bush said that those who commited this act will be punished as of the country that harbors (holds) them.

I really doubt that.

This attack came from some terrorist group supported by one nation and only one nation. They\'ll pay, but the rest of the world has nothing to do with this. You\'ll see other nations sending their condolences to the US(take Isriel for example, they\'re having a day of mourning for the US). The world supports the US since everyone\'s economy revolves around it in some way and you know the reat.

The chances of WW3 anytime soon is next to none.

Oh, maybe a war between the US and those responsible, but it really won\'t last very long. The US would destroy them.

We dont KNOW if he was supported by a nation.. Its just theories..

Look.. Usama is a pretty rich man.. He has about $300 million (I think it was..)

He has several trainingbases.. He has a small army they say.. Maybe even nukes.. (but I doubt that!)

Even if he is in Afganistan, they cant through him out, cuz there is a civilwar going on in there..
I dont think the afganistan goverment has enough power to "make him goway"

Afganistan is totaly destroyed as it is now..

94% of americans agree that we should go to war.  Russia is going to be an ally.  China is going to be an ally.  These are countries who years ago you would think, "What the hell?"  Plus of course the usual allies will be there.

Anyone who puts no on this poll is an uneducated idiot.  We will hit them with force that we have probably never shown before.

One thing I heard this afternoon which really felt creapy.  I was listening to Rush for a little bit and a guy was going on and on about how we should present a nuclear strike.  What I thought was so incredible is that normally this guy would have been hung up on as a total idiot, but he wasn\'t.  Not only that, but someone as vocal as Rush did not deny the use of nukes.

I really think this strike will be very very big.

By the way, this poll probably has a +/- 6% error.  heh.

Has that been conformed? I belive that Russia will back the US, but china might still be pissed at you guys for some reason. But holding a grudge is no excuse for not backing a country when they are under attack from terrorists.

But who are you going to war with? there is no specific country involved, no specific government, just a group of idiots with a few guns and an insane leader.

if we are going to war and i hear bout a draft, im going to sign up for the air force.

and for all those who think i am in the air force, i am not. that was just my little joke. that i always had a f-16 and a f-22 (seen in my pic) sorry to those i misconcieved. it was wrong to play the joke in this situation.

but i will say that i will be at these forums when i join the air force.

and the plane ill be flying will be either the F-22, the new JSF (joint strike fighter) or a f-16

and to awnser pstwo\'s question, since i know mucho about the air force,  the F-22 will replace the F-15, and although it will not be as massively produced as the F-16 was, it will play a major role. it is semi stealth, and is quite manuverable from what i hear.

the pentagon gave the go ahead a week ago for the first production run of F-22\'s so i must say that they most likely will be in service as they are built.

and to anwser the question whether there will be a war, i say there is a chance, but it wont last long.

Russia and China both are not allied with us as much as allied against terrorist attacks.  Countries are tired of it.  And we have made it highly known and given more than one warning that any country harbouring a known terrorist will see fate if a strike is made on US soil.  This includes Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc.

Ah, yes. Do keep in mind, however, that World War 1 was started by a single assasination, and a quarrel between two nations.

Should alliance systems play a major role in this, it could very well wind up being a very big deal. What if a large percentage of the Arab nations ally with eachother? What if some moderately larger nations join up with them, out of disliking for the United States? There could very well be a much larger war than you seem to anticipate.

The problem is this: Afghanistan harbors Bin Laden, basically letting him stay there without any worry. So, if they don\'t hand over Laden to us, we would then possibly attack them in response to their letting this terrorist leader get away with what he\'s done, and basically supporting him.

That\'s assuming Laden is the one behind this, of course.
