I don\'t like Nintendo, because their games are simply mindless.

I like the DC and SEGA for that matter, I owned a Genesis and loved it, the only reason I ever bashed a DC is because I just felt like being a **** or I didnt like the person standing up for the DC, there ya go

According to a string of reports,
a string of reports eh? How many times has CVG.com posted bullsh!t to get some hits?

Quote
Taken from IGNCube
According to Nikkei Net and Bloomberg, Nintendo sold 300,000 GameCubes in the first three days following the console\'s launch. Putting the near-dead Nintendo 64 behind it, Nintendo is right on track with its primary GCN sales forcast.

Nintendo of Japan spokesman Yasuhiro Minigawa indicated, "We have done well so far, and sales are in line with our projections."

The company sold around two-thirds (66%) of the primary 450,000 GameCubes that were shipped to retailers. And in spite of Nintendo\'s previous plans to ship 500,000 GameCubes to stores, Nintendo of Japan\'s Director, Hiroshi Imanishi reiterated, "Initial sales were in line with our projections," indicating it had little effect on sell-through. The remaining 50,000 unit shipment is tardy due to production and shipping slowdowns. Nintendo says they will ship by the end of September.

The three-day software sales for Luigi\'s Mansion, Super Monkey Ball, and Wave: Race Blue Storm peaked somewhere in between 360,000-400,000 units total. Luigi\'s Mansion was the best-seller and topped Japan videogame charts selling well into the 100,000s.

Keeping the hardware coming, Nintendo will continue to ship more GameCubes in Japan where domestic shipments are expected to reach 100,000 in October, 200,000 in November, and 600,000 in December. This would put 1.4 million GameCubes on the Japanese market for the holiday season. Stateside Nintendo projects it will put 1.1 million GameCubes into retailers hands by the end of 2001, bringing the grand total to 2.5 million GameCubes shipped internationally.

If all goes as planned the Big N will push four million GameCubes into consumers\' hands by March 2002. IGNcube will have more GameCube hardware and software sales data in the near future.
Far from a disaster IMO.

I don\'t know, how many?
I honestly can\'t recall any. DailyRadar UK and its US brethen posted some pretty stupid stuff in their day, but I highly respect CVG and I\'ve never had any gripes with their journalism. If anything, the only thing you can hold against them is that they seem overtly enthusiastic about almost every single game.

Shenmue is truely epic" - JP

Yes it is. I wanna warn you though, please do not pick up Phantasy Star Online under any circumstances. It is highly addictive and may have serious concequences on your social life. I don\'t doubt that before long, we\'ll be seeing Charter Beacon commecials telling parent\'s and spouses the hazards of PSO abuse. (Besides, v.2 comes out in just a few more days nehow. :D )

BTW: I don\'t like Nintnedo either ( :p <- @ Bozco). I\'m still holding a grudge against them for what they did to Sega in the 8 bit daze.

The reason for me not liking Nintendo is basically coz I think the games are incredibly boring. Pure and simple.

Their game philosophy ain\'t my idea of fun that\'s all.

BTW, SonyFan, I don\'t think PSO is gonna be problem, seeing as I don\'t like RPGs that much :)

I don\'t know who too believe. But nintendo launched with three none stellar games what did they expect.  No mario at launch:eek:

I don\'t hate nintendo and I would want to see them to stay in the console world. I mean I was not upset that they don\'t cater to the mature gamer no more. Sega was always more mature to me than nintendo ever was.  And now I have sony and soon Microsoft. So I think with consoles already catering to a certain market somebody has too look out for the little rugrats.

And why not nintendo? I mean sure I hated nintendo business practices in the 80\'s and the way they dissed developers with the n64 and charged me the gamer 79.99 for video games. Oh wait now I am mad at nintendo damn.

Who really gives a **** about the launch.
In a years time when it is established in all areas we will be able to tell wether its a failure or not, which IMO it wont be.

It was just 3 ****ing days

^^^^^Quick question. WTF do those charts represent? You can\'t just put of charts and not tell us what the hell they are for? Example: In Asia 65% percent of the people, and another 15%.

If 2Pac was alive and working for Nintendo he probably say the following:

"5 shots couldn\'t drop me,"
"i took it in style,"
"i tell it to your face,"
"you ain\'t nothing but a faker."
"wise words being quoted"
\'biatch get ready for the throw-down"
"the sh!t is about to go down"

:smokin:

I think Nintendo will do great, ... no matter how good/bad their first week, or month is.

Rastalant,

You always seem to be hunting out for any negative Nintendo news.. coincidence?

Frankly, I don\'t give a sh!t how any console does, as long as there is money in my pocket, they will all be sitting in my room.

I don\'t hunt for bad news for nintendo.  Its not my fault that nintendo hasn\'t had the most successful launch.  Its so many negitive reports on them this week.  :thepimp:
