"Yes, the NGC has better lighting than the PS2. I\'m not going to deny that. But games should not be made as tech demos to show off the power of the system. They should be made as games. Luigi\'s Mansion is lacking in a lot of areas, namely, funfactor."
Fair enough, but it seems that from people who own the game, the fun factor is what saves it. It\'s a short game and that\'s apparently its downfall. The save is that it\'s fun enough to play through again to top your high score. People seem to agree that Sega\'s Super Monkey Ball (also exclusive), however, is more fun - especially with other players. Just thought I\'d drop the name since Super Monkey Ball hasn\'t been mentioned yet (and since when it is brought up, it\'s usually dismissed as a nothing).
"I don\'t think its fair comparing the NGC\'s best game to a PS2 medium-good game. But if that\'s what you want to do to make yourself feel better, go ahead."
I get what you\'re saying here, the only thing that gets me is how you say RL is the best game. It isn\'t out yet, and you haven\'t played it.
"Actually, I think RL is the only AAA game so far (from what I\'ve heard. I want to actually see it before I agree that its AAA.)
See?
"BTW, I have heard that RL is just the N64 game with extremely good graphics. If so, that really sucks. Does anyone know if this is true?"
And finally, no. It\'s an all new game. A game like Wave Race includes, in addition to its new stuff, updated versions of some of its prequel\'s tracks. But Rogue Leader is brand-spankin\' new!
And one more, from rastalant:
"I could compare gt3 to an gamecube racers. Oh I forgot nintendo gamecube doesn\'t have any racers at the time. That figures."
True enough. XG3 will be out by Christmas, though (less than a month into the system\'s existance). And of course to a lesser extent there\'s stuff announced like Wave Race, Mario Kart, and (stretching) Crazy Taxi... Don\'t be too shocked when the F1 and NASCAR games pop up by next year, either. I say give it six months and the racing genre will already be bloated and tired.
Anyway, that\'s just my speculation and your point is still valid - for now.
