Is it possible for the PS2 to have bump maping like the X-Box?
THERE ARE NO ORDINARY MOMENTS...

OK, so  basicaly the PS2 can look as good as the X-Box if the programers put forth enough effort.?

yes, I am pretty confident it can pretty easily if the effort and talent is there.. :)

I think the Emotion Engine is a Great CPU,you can do a lot of things simultaneously...you can implement various kinds of AA,multi pass-techniques,bump mapping(Naughty Dog said that they\'re going to implement a bump-mapping engine,environment mapping and 8 pass techniques via software(obviously:) ) in their next game...) but I\'m not so sure PS2 can reach the same quality of these effects on the X-Box...and we have to consider that everything we implement via software take a greater hit in performance compared to what we whould have achieved via hardware...

Yes ps2 can do bump mapping in TTT look at the floor on the snow stage.  :)

Yes it can do it, but the CPU will take a hit.
