Hi, you know me im fussy so I hope its down to this only but if it isn\'t ill need to swap my PS2 ASAP because the guarrentee is nearly up.

Anyway when playing games using a PAL RGB scart lead (not sure about the others I haven\'t tested it) does anyone get like a pulsing screen during BLACK loading screens. Its not exactly bad hence the reason why I haven\'t noticed it before - infact its probably just like the RGB screenshift and is standard.

Anyway during black screens say on the OPS2 demo of silent hill 2 etc when its on these black screens sometimes they "pulse" like flash in a sense from black to black / green, its REALLY hard to describe and to see this you will actually have to look at it, its very very sutle and the problem doesn\'t just smack you in the face.

So please check out OPS2 or something like that and during black loading screens like the one when you have finished Silent Hill 2 demo and it goes back to the main menu - the screen without the Silent Hill 2 Konamia SCEE bit, check to see if it sort of pulses.

PAL MACHINES ONLY PLZ. We already know the American\'s don\'t suffer from Picture shift I can see this being the same sort of thing.

Thanks.

Yeah thats it. Its like a slight green change of colour. As though the black background has changed green slightly and then goes back etc.

Sounds like Macrovision... but that can´t be in Games...
Do you run your PS2 through a VCR or did you connect it to the TV direct ?
DON´T RUN YOUR PS2 FIA THE VCR THEN !
Otherwise I don´t have a clue... never seen... sorry

Bump!

Anyone else ????

Kidalot / Kopking can you elaborate about what you see please. If you see it too then thats great it means my PS2 isn\'t needing swapped. :)

But reread what I said cause it is really hard to notice. :)

Thanks.

Rich.

I think these problems are tipical in old tv´s... i had some at the beginning but don´t worry.
