"Bullsh it

Nintendo didn\'t come close

980,000 in one day in japan

500,000 in one day US

They might have squeeked out the 1 week US record but Nintendo owns nothing

Its even funnier that Nintendo fans can\'t admit the fact when the data is so obvious

now prove to me that the Lamepube is the fastest selling console in comparison to the above PS2 numbers"

-For those of you saying PS2 sold 980,000 in one day in Japan could we please have links to respectable new sources?  Don\'t get me wrong, I\'m getting a PS2 this Christmas, I\'ve already got a Dreamcast and will get the Gamecube this summer.  But you Sony fanboys really piss me off.

"Lamepube"

Jiminey Christmas dude get a life....it\'s a videogame console.

No the words of someone who honestly cannot stomach Nintendo. It will always has been and always will be Lamepube to me.

Plus I actually enjoy calling it the Lamepube, it fits. Its not like we don\'t hear Gaystation often or suX-Box now is it

LMAO

look who\'s telling who to  get a life. A person who joined a forum cause my rant. How much more lamer is that. You put in all that effort to sign up to tell me this

and go check it out for yourself it is fact and I\'ll be damn if I\'m actually going to search news archives to get you the news.

As for Sony Fanboys I am a huge Sony fan, but I also like the DC somewhat and will be geting an Xbox .I just really dislike Nintendo, but if it was Sega or MS proclaiming the same false hoods I wouldn\'t hesitate to point them out

It is a videogame console but this is a debate forum where crap like this gets posted so deal with it

Toy Story is less impressive than MGS?  Surely you jest.

That\'s all I\'m going to say about that.

To call the PlayStation 2\'s launch anything but a success would be to severely discredit Sony\'s development and marketing teams, as well as anyone else directly involved with the system\'s launch. Japanese gamers are known for lining up outside their favorite Akihabara-region electronics store in anticipation of a new game release, but the demand (and the lines) for the PlayStation 2 surpassed all expectations. The system sold approximately one million units in its first weekend of release. These staggering sales figures, as well as the potential of such a powerful and versatile machine, caught the attention of even the mainstream American press. Newspapers and television news shows around the world began to run stories about the incredible new device that Sony had unleashed on Japan, and so the hype began to build abroad.

Obviously ya did

You read what was written you joined up and made your 1st post a reply to my rant

and stick up for myself ????????

what was that all about. I\'m just posting facts, and yes Nintendo has the fastest selling system in NA after a week, but that is not what the articles around the net are saying and that is all I have been doing was pointing out the fact.

and to be honest I\'m surprised that the it is selling this well, but figuring all the diehard N fans and gamers who just have to have it at launch and its $200 price tag its understandable

I am personally not surprised by the huge amount of units sold durin\' the first week. There is one thing you all are overlooking and that is this is the holiday season and videogames are more popular than ever. You mix that with the fact Nintendo is a big brand name and a $200 dollar price tag, making it the cheapest next generation console and of course it is going to be a fast selling console.

BY the way Ddaryl, I don\'t even remember the last time I saw someone say "Gaystation" or "sux-box" around here...

Oh and you\'re right, I should get some special award, MM..;) How about my own chimp? :D

Thanks for the..err..spam, Ryu!

You losers can keep playing your Gaystations and suXBoxes.

:nut: :nut: :nut:
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
