Jak&Daxter Review ! I Want this Game!!!!!!!!!

I had the buy 2 get 1 free thing going. They shipped SSX Tricky and I got that one and it was my freebie, so today I said screw them and cancelled my Amazon order for Jak and Daxter (2 copies)

so basically I screwed them and got a game for free without paying for the other 2 games. I\'m just unwilling to wait 3 weeks


I\'m dissapointed that J+D doesn\'t have much to offer new in the gameplay department though
All that work on a kick ass PS2 engine and they couldn\'t come up with something unique to mix in with the old school platform formula.

ND will have to anser to alot of critics on this. Everyone who reviews the game says the same thing and they could\'ve and should\'ve come up with something
Have ot admit I\'m disspointed with the lack of boss fights too.

Jumping off the rail into a huge enchanting world is quite a departure from the box smashing hit Crash series. If Naughty Dog did come up with some truly unique gameplay features it would seem foolish to me to dump them all at once on top of what this game already offers. Got to save something for the next game, don\'t you think?

dam this game is awesome...no jaggies...well they hide it..hehe..

I\'m getting my copy tomorrow and I can\'t wait cause if it takes away most of my game playing hours (aka Spare Time) then I\'ll be very very impressed but the Pics look stunning and Daxxter has some very funny dialogue...but I\'m hoping it will last a long long time, like Spyro 1,2, and 3 did...

I\'m with you...we should be very happy for the great job ND have done...and even if they are ultra talented...they\'re not God...and couldn\'t put everything they\'d have wished in their first game...

Who knows what kind of beauty ND will show us in their next game ?!  

got this game today ( thursday) day b4 release, ive been playing it for 5 1/2 since i got home, only stopping to eat some dinner which i ate really fast so i could get back to the game............ everyone should get this game, ususally i dont like platformers....but this game is excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

...but don\'t finish it in 2 days ! ...it\'s a so beautiful game...

Damn!  I just picked up Dynasty Warriors 3, and Baldur\'s Gate.  Now I gotta get this one too!  Looks excellent.  I guess I\'ll have to trade in Midnight Club, Knockout Kings2001, Wild Wild Racing and Moto GP! Oh yeah Ridge Racer V too!  Now the only other game I want is MAXIMO!

All I said is ND should of come with a little something unique in the gameplay department. After all its a video game that has all the next gen flair except in the gameplay department.

and as for what dj said about 0 jaggies, thats completly false, the games has its share of jaggies, but it doesnt hurt the game in any way what so ever period, in fact the jaggies aren\'t all that noticable.

Not to split hairs ddaryl but you also expressed disappointment in a shortage of boss fights. On top of that you thought it important enough to say the same things in another recent J&D thread on this forum. Knowing you to be a ND fan, it made me wonder out loud, is all. Don\'t be keeping your opinions to yourself big D, as one of the cooler heads around the forums, you are one of those I count on for early word or confirmation of what\'s up. The twist in attitude seemed a bit chilly for not having played through the game yet.

To reiterate, though there may not be much that hasn\'t been done already in gameplay, a tall order to begin with, ND making good use of the hardwares strength looks as if it will add up to a unique, very enjoyable gameplay experience. Should we ask for more the first time out? Nah

My expectations were inflated do to the fact that I really enjoyed Crash bandicoot 2 and 3

I still have to play the game to form a final opinion, and nothing is going to be able to drag me away form BG: DA
