:) That made my day man, thanks. Though if you want to spank my mom, you\'re more than welcome to. If that\'s your thing.

Look. I\'d rather play a console FPS on controller than a PC FPS with a keyboard and mouse. If I had spent the past ten years playing PC FPSs with a keyboard and mouse, I would probably feel differently. But I haven\'t.

I am simply saying, it is not a fact that PC FPSs are superior. It\'s an opinion.

i think that FPS take a little practice on the controller but once you get used to it i think it is much easier

Frankly, I think it depends upon the execution of the game, whether the method of control matters or not. I\'d say that Q3 Arena on Dreamcast is inferior to its PC counterpart in the realm of controls. But Goldeneye, Timesplitters and Halo are different stories; their controls are executed well.

Sure the controls are more precise with a PC, but it\'s a solitary experience on the PC.  4 guys sitting around a PC screen = no fun.  Dragging PC around for LAN parties = too much of a hassle.

Play the game and you really won\'t wish you had a mouse--really.  I\'ve been playing PC shooters for years (since quake team fortress).  Halo seems like a different genre of game.  Like DM said, play the game with a good set up and say it doesn\'t deserve the credit.

It makes me laugh how much of a problem MM has with Halo,:D i would love to see what he would be like if it was on the PS2 ,my be that is what has got your Goat that it is on the Xbox and not PS2, ifthat is the case get over it dude, if it doesn\'t come out for the PC don\'t stop your self from giving this game a chance.
And why the hell do you keep going on about Keyboards and mouse, if you sit down with the game and play for a while, you completely forget that you are playing withy a controller. I was worried about the controller as well, but i gave the game a chance and the controlles are great.
And some of you will probably call me a fanboy for what i just said, but the fact of the matter is i gave the game a chance, and i am telling it like it is, and now i am enjoying one of my fav games of the year.:D

yes, halo is groundbreaking in term of console FPS graphics, and i do like the game, but its no MOH, and gamepads + FPS\'s = suck

if it WAS on on my PS2, i would simply plug my USB keyboard/mouse in, and promptly STFU

which is exactly what you should do

speaking of finding stuff funny, youve been here HOW long, and know almost nothing about me?

*WOOT!  i hit 3000 posts and didnt even know it!

apparantly, mm cannot think of anything else to say!!:D

What are you going on about MM, i do know something about you, if a game isn\'t on the ps2 you don\'t like it, and that is really sad.
And you wouldn\'t simply plug in your keyboard and mouse because it would have to support it first, i mean Quake 3( i think it was or unreal) didn\'t support keyboard and mouse on the PS2.
You always make some stupid comment about Halo, what is your problem with it, straight up is it because it is on the Xbox?
Also have you tryed the game out yet, i mean sat down and played for like 1 hour or something like that, just to see if there is anyway that you can get on with the controls?
Because to me you really are missing out on a great game, that is out now, not in like 6 months or more on the PC.

I am not going to get into a row with you MM, because i really cann\'t be bothered, i have got better things to do with my time, like play HALOnow!!
And that is the best you can come back with telling me to shut the **** up, wow arn\'t you the big man, that really is pathetic.

p.s merry christmas dude!:D

this implies i\'ve played it, no?  i like my FPS with a mouse/keyboard.  its more natural.  do people prefer playing racing games with a wheel or a gamepad?

heres a thought...

"would mm say the same thing about halo if it was released on PS2?"

:o

oh, and have a great holiday bro!
i like yer sig, BUT the size is more than 5 lines. it must be reduced, thanks

I\'m quite sure mm would be just as cynical about Halo if it were on the PS2. :D (w/o k/b + mouse support)

I do think the k/b + mouse combo is the best. I can only imagine what I\'d be doing to them aliens if I had that option. :) The pad does work better than I thought it would though.
