The Fanicom is the Japanese version of the NES - and yes they do "break" easily, as did the original American models (until Nintendo made the top loading one). The problem is the cartridge connectors eventually quit depressing to their original state when you remove a cartridge, so the next time you try to play a game, it never connects to the game, therefor the NES doesn\'t realize there is a game there and it gives you the infamous blue screen. You can replace the 72 pin connector, work on it with a screw driver (there was a cool article on how to do that at
http://www.classicgaming.com ) or just buy a top loading NES...
