Correct me if I\'m wrong, but I think Europe has a bigger gaming fanbase than Japan does.  Which would make sense because there are way more people in Europe than in Japan.

And they haven\'t officially announced the European price yet have they?  They could always lower it right before launch like they did with the Japanese price.

They have , and it`s €uro 479 ! That means no Xbox for me anytime soon after launch. I`ll invest my money in a new PC end of next year.

sorry to say guys, xbox has FAILED in europe. i can see this, ps2 is picking up its pace VERY quickly and Gc has a huge fanbase overhere

and we dont want to pay such a price anyway, just like we did with ps2

Well this was the same with the PS2, it was cheaper in japan, cheaper in America, and more expansive in the UK.
What is your point?
The game cube will probably be 199 pounds, which is what around $260 - $280 so it is the same with all stuff.
We always pay more for stuff over here, everyone know\'s it\'s, but there isn\'t anything we can really do about, so don\'t let it worry you, just get on with things.
And if you go on looking at all the prices working it out in the uk to other countries, then you wouldn\'t buy anything.
