what yer "tricked out" car really looks like

GmanJoe, I love your car. In fact, I like most Subaru\'s because they are really built well and are famous in the off-road competitions.

I personally think that with all the hype in customizing cars with looks and trying to get a "10 sec" car is today\'s fad. Ever since Fast and the Furious debuted, all these n00bs started thinking they were some big shot supin up their POS with all this Japenese crap. Now, this isn\'t a insult to the non-n00bs, because I do like some of the tricked out cars I see on SpeedVision, especially with them built in LCD\'s hooked up with their PS2\'s :)

It\'s all personal preference. Some people buy a car and couldn\'t be bothered in maintaining it. While others spend every minute of their life dreaming of what else they can do to their ride. It\'s a hobby if you ask me. Sounds kinda like them videogame collector junkies. Some people don\'t understand the difference between their 7 inch Kmart TV and tin-can speakers and a 30\'\' WEGA with some nice surround speakers....
You think positive, I\'ll think realistic.

I say do what you like.  I personally may not think every tricked-out Civic bouncing down the street is attractive OR practical, but someone LOVES that car, and someone is very proud to be farting down the expressway in that little beast.  It\'s not my money, and it is most definitely not my place to make them feel bad about how they spend theirs.

Yeah I can see people not liking the kids that just get some honda and put an exhaust on it but I know people who take there car seriously and do that, a guy I know has a 240SX with an imported Silvia engine, Super Charged 4-cylinder with over 300 HP, he can burn a stock corvette in a straight away

I do that. Hell, even pedestrians at bus stops do that to those poor Civics! :)

The red Mazda in the back looks like my one ,  but it`s already 9 1/2 years old. I plan on getting a new one soon , and it will be a Subaru like GManJoe. That is a sweet car you have there , Joe. Ever had any serious problems with it ?

Is that an MX3?  My wife had one when we first started dating.  We dumped it though.

None. You know how most two wheel drive cars spin out in the rain when you have to merge into a road from a stand still? Not with all wheel drive! :D It moves like it\'s dry!

And if yuo ever need to launch the car in a drag race, keep your head back against the head rest. Coz all four tires will bite and launch like you got kicked in the ass! :D

The problem with my car is that I get a lot of bad looks from Mustang, Camaro and Civic drivers. I\'ve noticed that Type R Integras could care less coz they know they don\'t have anythig to prove, hell, they\'re driving a Type R!!!!

enjoy!

Haha mm!  GmanJoe, love your car, but why does it say STi on the front fog light covers?  That\'s almost as bad as the ricers getting Si-R stickers on their domestic Hondas.

But as for the car itself, how much does yours weigh and what\'s the fuel economy for an AWD like that?  Your WRX\'s color and rims are the (almost) same combination I want to get with a new Altima, Evo, or WRX.  Good taste, except for that sticker part! :)

The fog light covers came with them. But like I said, it\'s gonna get an STi engine in it by next year. So, why take off "STi" when it\'s gonna have it anyway?

This version weighs 2,850 pounds. I get about 27mph on the highway but about 23 mph when i do some "spirited" driving. :D The rims are expensive since they are for competition : Volk Rays TE-37. They\'re 17" x 7.5" and they\'re very light since they\'re forged aluminum. They weigh about 13 pounds each. Any lighter, you\'d have to get Magnesium rims!

The Sticker...ah, who cares? Most people are staring at the rear end of the car anyway! :D

Yes, and now it`s time to dump mine and search for something better.
