I hate the fights. Really, I\'ve never been into one of those... but I\'m noticing that boys fight more and more... I remember 1 year ago in my HS when 2 small girls fight and one of them pick up the hair of the other...

I\'m not a fighter really, but I think I could defend myself pretty well if attacked. I\'ve tried Han Moo Do, judo and a bit of boxing, and now I\'m totally hooked on aikido. Aikido seems to be the first really useful and truly interesting martial art I\'ve tried. I like the philosophy behind it all, it\'s so well thought out and there are no rules, anything can happen, you must always be aware of what might happen. Controlling a suddenly helpless attacker any way you like is just so damn... er... cool :)

So, as a fighter... err... don\'t know, could someone try attacking me? :p I\'m aiming for not having to fight, I\'d prefer running if confronted with a threatening situation, but unfortunately, I\'m not too fast of a runner, so...

Martial Arts is not about just fighting.  It includes that but also more.

Martial arts are learning NOT to fight. U start a fight, that\'s not martial arts. Masagatsu agatsu, true victory is victory over oneself.

Yea... whateveer....... sorry, Im maybe a lil bit drunk now, but after 5 years with martial art (Hung Gar kung fu, Yang Taichi and JKD) I have learned that to fight a person.... is different for each person himself. For me, it is to have em from distance. I like to use my feets, I can side/round kick over my own head (which is 1.90) and I am one of the strongest kickers when we train JKD.. When sparring, I usualy go in for some fast hits with my fists... then I go for round kicks, I dont like side kicks when sparring... since that is more uncontrollable :( In a real street fight sitauation (which Im still have not been in) I would use side kick and hurricane kicks (good for tricking the other fightier) .  Intercepting kicks is also very good, but hard to use, since u have to time the other attackers attack :(
MM told me to have a 5 line signature. I count now

2 martial artists should never get into a fight.  Both should be trying to avoid the conflict.

sorry to disagree emperor rob, but it has happened and will happen again.  because unfortunetly some people only learn the physical aspects of the empty handed combat, and not learn the philosophy behind it.  a true martial artist, yes they will avoid the conflict, because if nothing else, martial arts allow us to run with dignity.

*edit* oops misunderstood you, didn\'t see that u said the word "should"
