As for giving permission, ever since I got broadband and installed a firewall..Ive had NO more spyware crap to delete from adaware. Also, I can DL..all the while refusing to allow server access. At least thats what mi proggie is telling me.

the spyware "only" gets installed when you install other programs, such as kazaa or cuteftp or napster.  they get paid by companies to "sneak" their products onto yer PC.  spyware just doesnt show up

morpheus has security flaws that can be exposed, just like AOL messenger or ICQ.  ANY program that acts as an FTP server in some shape or form has potential to allow others access to yer drives.  morpheus is such a program.  it has been shown to contain several such flaws and i\'ve read countless reports of people that sent others virus\' [viri] posed as movies or apps that contained trojans or other more vicious viri

firewall or no firewall, if a program has permission to accept information sent from the internet, then the firewall is pointless

i remember years back when we pulled a prank on another student.  he was running G3 [a ftp progam allowing access to specific directories].  me and my friends are no l33t hackers but we knew damn well enough how to match a small batch file that wouldnt show on the screen what it was doing when it was ran.  we named it "FUNNY! WATCH THIS MOVIE!". know what happened when he clicked on it?  nothing.  well, nothing that he could see.  what the batch file did was create a "quick shutdown" shortcut in his windows startup folder.  so when the poor guy turned his PC on, as soon as windows booted it would shut right back down again.  it was the funniest thing to see his keep saying, "WTF!"  .after 3 days, i told him what we did and fixed it.

can tell me how to fix this  

this is just a VERY small idea of what can be done.  its very possible to make a batch file to delete yer windows\\system folder OR format yer C:\\ drive without needing a confirmation

Althought i use morpheus, i gotta give it to mm there, i have downloaded countless virii and trojan horses off there, luckily, Norton picked them all up, and i have had no problems. I cant say the same for one of my mates tho, muhahaha!!

I use Kazaa all the time but i usually dont download movies im more into downloading game demos and music

*lol* I used to do this to at school with a few friends. Let me guess; he was using Win95 or 98 and you used a certain Rundll32.exe command (with the necessary paramters) to shut down his computer? ...
