John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The only path you need to take to be a Christian is in the verse above. Church or no church. However, going to church strengthens my beliefs and helps hold me accountable to the teachings in the word of God that’s the main reason I go to church. It\'s good to fellowship with other believers, you know?

Thats actually quite possible. When God said, the \'7th\' day, he meant that it had been 7 days since he began creating the world. I mean, there was no Monday when God created the world!!!

Because Sunday is the first day of the week, SDA\'s worship on Saturdays, cause its the Sabbath, but Christians don\'t really celebrate the Sabbath cause its old Testiment.

Of course, not celebrating the Sabbath cause it\'s "Old Testament" is true in some sense. However, It\'s not to discredit the old books of the law - you know the Ten Commandments. They are "Old Testament", and we Christians still obey them...the best we can of course.

God is also a figment of your imagination. Religion was created because people are afraid to die, and humans are animals who can\'t behave themselves unless they\'re afraid of a big , powerful, almighty being who will punish them for eternity.

Just some thoughts from your local agnostic.

What? Star Wars isn\'t real! Crap!

In all honesty though friend I will say, I don\'t believe in God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit because of how fantastical they may be. I believe because I have faith, faith being the evidence of things not seen. Not to mention the peace I have due to my faith. I only pass these words on to people because of the joy that it has brought to my life; I only want the same joy for others. But, I won\'t stuff it down your throat. If you have other beliefs - cool. I\'m sure you have your reasons as I have my own.

Peace.

Chizzy is right.   This whole "God" thing was a creation so that people can pass the blame onto something else that will "Forgive them" for it.

Sure church makes you feel good when you go.  But what in the world is a God?  Do you really think some "being" out there created the world?  I just don\'t get it.  If god created man, then how come did they appear so far after the dinosaurs.  Did God create the Dinosaurs?  I\'m thouroughly confused.

Let\'s see, do I believe in Big Bang, which actually makes a lot of sense.  Or do I believe in a God which makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever.

And also, if there is a GOd, then why in the world would he care if you go to church or not.  As long as you are a good person then the only thing for church is to go see your friends and listen to some guy read.  Heck, you can do that at a library or a book store.

actually, vid

the hardcore christians dont believe the dinosaurs existed

they feel god created everything at once, and its impossible that dinosaurs existed millions of years before man

ask #racer# if he believes dinosaurs never existed, and ask him how his "christian" faith explains this

Oh my, are you serious?  I never knew that.  Glad I asked.  Actually, out of all the people writing in this thread, ##Racer##\'s posts seem the most out of whack to me.

Now were talkin, I love it when this topic takes off...as long as we can all be friends when the smoke clears of course.

The "Big Bang Theory" is just that, a "theory". Yeah they say they have proof. That’s fine and dandy but the dinosaurs could have been killed off by the flood in Noah’s time. I\'m not trying to poke fun at your beliefs, I\'m just saying that "the proof is in the pudding" so to speak. Here’s a site that helps us “Christians” believe the Bible a bit more. Maybe you can use it to help understand why we believe in “creation” rather than “Big Bang”.
