O yea..this is why I reall dont care for coke much.
To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl. Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in
Coke removes stains from vitreous china. This is according to household-hints columnist MaryEllen.
To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.
To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion. This is
according to Heloise.
To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
To get a tan! I just received this email and wanted to share it with you: "I visited your site, very nice, the whole thing has a very nice tone to it. I was attracted by the uses of Coca-Cola. I was surprised to found nothing on the tanning side. One of my sisters in law has a very white skin, those that are extremely difficult to tan; she found out that applying coke instead of a tanning cream did the trick."
Clean Tile Grout: By accident, I found the perfect grout cleaner for my tile floors! I spilled a can of Coca Cola on my kitchen floor.
When I wiped it up, to my surprise the grout was as white as can be!
To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.
Get rid of rats! Cody Smith from Californa sent in this tip that he wanted to share: "On my grandfathers farm in central Oklahoma, he had a corn crib where he had the usual problem keeping out rats. He used to purchase one case of Coca Cola every week for the exclusive use in pie pans in his grainery to kill rats! No, Grandpa didn\'t think the ingredients of Coca Cola were toxic. He explained to us that rats cannot belch. They were attracted to the taste of the Coca Cola and would drink large quantities of it only to be unable to belch the carbonated drink and they would actually explode. He would find their carcasses lying about with their stomaches burst open. Other animals and birds were apparently not attracted to the drink and he considered it safe. He replaced the cola daily to keep the carbonation fresh enough to do the trick." Thanks Cody!
Bug and Road Film: Got bug guts and road haze on you car windshield? Take a can of warm Coca Cola, shake and spray onto the windshield. Wipe it off and rinse and waa-laa, clean as could be!
The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. It\'s pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days!
Also, I\'ve heard that the distrubutors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years! If anyone
knows if that is true, let us know! And another tip from Libby; "Pour Coke down your drain once a month to keep it from clogging."
