No its not just that its a SLOW start .... its that the PS2 is still selling at a Phenomenal rate.

the Gap between Sony and Microsoft is Growing day by day and this and the European launch is not helping close this any !

after all thats all we ever got in here ever since the PS2 hit the BIG 20 million Last year

i think it should be Close to 35 million by now !

Of course the gap is going to be big between Sony and MS because MS just entered this market. MS has already said that they expect to lose a lot of money in the first 2-3 years after the XBox\'s launch so they are obviously in for the long haul no matter what the numbers suggest.

so in 2 to 3 years time the X box could hope to be around the same point were the PS2 is TODAY !

in 2 to 3 years time the estimates for PS2\'s world wide is anthing from 60 million to 80 million !

basiclly the PS2 is Out selling the X box despite the verious Launch days through out the world and its still going stong !

I am sure all of this has been expected by MS. Playstation already has a good reputation in the console market. MS is still trying to get a good reputation in the console market. There are so many threads about how poorly the XBox is selling in various markets as if many of you get some kind of personal satisfaction from Microsofts troubles. I dont get it.

Most of us European gamers feal betrayed by M$ for their 51% Launch price Hike (European X box cost 51% more than the US ones !)I would buy a import one but it will cost me even more

and the fact that we are to a large extent ignored by M$ in the Game Strategy !
