Bob,
Well I did take the nitpicks on Halo in another way. I\'m not going to argue whether a game should be 30fps or 60fps because I will
always prefer for them to be running @ 60fps. Yes, even FFX. It doesn\'t matter to me whether it\'s a FPS, a racing game, or a damn puzzle game, 60fps is much more pleasing to the eye.
I took the argument in terms of the console\'s power, which despite my disappointment with Halo\'s framerate, the game made up for it everywhere else. As far as the horrible framerates in splitscreen/deathmatch, I couldn\'t care less, because I was more interested in the single-player experience. And while the game does drop on ocassion, it runs pretty well considering the action, enviroments, and effects that it is pushing. Maybe the game was a little too ambitious for Bungie for a first attempt, but they still pulled it off. Spend some time with Halo, actually experiencing it, and I think your mind might change a bit. When Half-life first came out it chugged on my P-200, and it didn\'t detract from the hell of an experience that it was.
All I\'m saying is that some of you should relax with the anti-M$/xbox bashings for no reason. Especially if you haven\'t spent considerable time with it. MM\'s an exception though, Clyde drives him bananas (pun intended.)
And bob, the 15fps battles in FF7, 8, and 9 drove me nuts. Those battles were choppy as hell. Well enough is enough, I\'m not going to go on a crusade to prove to people that having multiple consoles is where it\'s at. I\'ll be enjoying my Gun Valkyrie, VF4, and Soccer Slam next week.
