I wasn\'t necessarily calling you all fanboys, I\'m just saying that despite what you really[\\i] think, your comments spur on other people to bash the xbox.  It starts a nasty trend and this forum is getting run into the ground.

The Betamax was a great VCR. I wish the buying public was smart enough to realize this.

The Betamax may have been a great VCR, but it was a flop.  Sony wouldn\'t allow any other companies to make VCR\'s with that format.  Very shortsighted on their part.  VHS on the otherhand became very popular because other manufacturers were allowed to make it.

Also the price was a problem too.  Since you had a variety of brands to chose from with VHS it was more affordable.  Call it a marketing blunder, but it was still a failure.  Sony has learned since then in some respects, but occasionally Sony reverts back to its former practices ie not licensing 3rd party accessories such as memory cards for the PS2.  That is just idiotic.

Agreed. I forget how it all panned out then but I do remember the short recording times of the video tapes and the cost of a Betamax way back then.

It\'s still too bad that we have VHS and not Beta in our living rooms. :)

Yes, and that\'s all I\'ve ever said--you can be dissappointed with xbox, but that comes with being dissappointed with...I\'m tired...

My only gripe with the Xbox are the games they have released.  Beyond Halo and Munch, the best of what is left are racing games.  I love PGR, but damn, it would be like owning all fighting games... I need some variety and by that I mean quality games, not the trash they have been releasing.  I know its still early, but as I stated in a previous post I had some extra cash and wanted to add to my Xbox library and I really had a difficult time picking out something.  Either I had it already for the PS2 (which I won\'t be buying anymore games for until they SUPPLY us with some memory cards   ) or I thought I wouldn\'t enjoy it...
