There are some people who believe that because Bill Gates is rich and for the most part, we are not, that is just reason for us to bash him and it is our only reason. However, jealousy is not any reason to bash Bill Gates. If jealousy was the culprit, then Walmart would be recieving just as many bashes as any other person or chain, but the owner does not, even though he is richer than Bill Gates at the moment.
Why do we bash Gates and not the Walmart guy?
Walmart offers us products at rock bottom prices that can\'t go wrong. It\'s available in lots of places nationwide and its a place we don\'t mind shopping at. In contrast, Microsoft offers a mediocre product at a set price full of quality control issues. The problem isn\'t that Bill Gates is rich, the problem is that the products we need (or are forced to use) need to meet standards that we are paying for. Sure, no one is twisting our arm to use office, or windows, but just see how many games out there support other OS\'s or systems as quickly as they do Windows. It\'s a lack of options that keeps me a windows user and it sucks honestly and I don\'t like MS for that. Gates put this policy forward so he gets plenty of slack for it.
Walmart owner says cheap items with lots of quality and variety and he makes it the best chain out there... How can I hate the guy or the company? Contrasts are beautiful.
