Yeah, Rob...Thanks for that condensed version of my original post.
;)

Oh and Eik, one reason you have never been goaded into a flame war, is because you avoid them and respect everyone\'s opinion. I personally wish all  members (including myself )  would take a small lesson from you.

I think TheOgodlyThlng feels he needs to fill the troll void now that our forums are starting to get good again

Oh Look a response, yeepee...........yawn

Your forums starting to get good again, wel that all depends on how you look at it, does it not?

The PSX2 fanboyism still lurks hungery around around here, and don\'t even try and bring my name into it, cause I haven\'t been posting here for quite some time, but I stop by these forums 3 times a week to read the board.

Damn some of you really hate XBOX with a passion, almost as if the XBOX was here to destroy your life.

I would be nice to see both PSX2 and XBOX co-exsist peacefully, but then again I\'m just dreaming arn\'t I

Also PS. "Watchdog I really Enjoy reading your posts and comments, you seem to have a really clear perspective on things, which makes it such eye pleasing to read.

No offense people....but I for once gotta agree with TheOgodlything on 1 and only 1 thing......these forums are filled with ps2 fanboys....some people (not pointing fingers) cant respect other systems or games. Some people find pick at every system to find something to say about it that is bad. For example Ive seen people say x-box or gamecube screens look horrible while there is a PS2 game with the same graphics and say its awsome. Its just horrible that some people cant say a single good thing about a system. A game may look absolutly great and people say look the grass is to bright this game is horrible...

These forums need some major cleaning up.......especially less catagories. Hardware and Periphicals dont get resposes for a week some times.

Is it me? Or does PSone own all the other systems?

over videogames and systems

do any of you really care that much anymore to the point we have to live by debating rules, or resort to name calling

for those of you who are doing this, take a step back and a long hard look at your life

just play the games have fun and screw the rest

The point is, this is another way to enjoy the hobby we have and when someone ruins that fun, it needs to be taken care of. Sure, rules are sort of lame, but they are needed so this forum could function, you should know this, I mean you have banned how many people? Why? Because they was breaking the rules. The same applies in the console debate section.

Rules are just a simple way for this forum (any forum for that matter) to function and keep decent threads on track.

P.S - While you may say that those of us who are claiming we need rules in this section and those who are doing name calling, all need to take a step back and look at our lives. I also remember you getting more than just a tad upset over a certain Tribal Dragon\'s incident. Which, in the end is the same prinicpal..."videogames and systems".

Stuck. I\'m glad someone sees what I have been missing from these forums. I must admit though, there are a few others who do share our plight...

Ryu, it might not have been clear in the other thread that went to the hall of shame (I believe), but I do agree with your  "zero tolerance" thread - just not about how you shut that one thread.

If anyone noticed, or even if they didn\'t, I have been gone for a while for the reason of this topic.

This place has become fanboy heaven. Idiots and children run rampant and you can\'t say anything positive about one company and negative about another without fastson, raslant, or others getting all indignant about it. I haven\'t even felt the need to come back and post since I have found a forum that is alive, like this one once was, without the stupid crap you have to deal with in the CD forum on this board. I say, have a closed admission to this board and it will make it all better.

It may be unfair to some, but this forum desperately needs this. Remember my "Best looking xx-bit games?" threads? You couldn\'t do one of those today because half the posters that post in here played maybe ten games before Playstation or were too young to know the glory of the 8-bit generation. If you tried, you would get alot of stupid posts with nothing to back them up.

I may lurk around PSX2c for a while longer, if the smoke clears, I will be around longer, if it remains to be stagnant, dull, and fanboy-oriented, I am gone forever.

This is my point exactly. This forum has lost a lot of once respected and well known members. I was speaking with Ryu one day (and I promise Ryu, I\'ll get AIM installed ASAP, I\'ve just been busy lately. ;) ) and we was sitting and naming people who have quit coming to the boards since this has happened. It was astounding and apalling to think of some of the great members we have lost (Gohan?!? Are you out there?).

I have to disagree with Altered on the closed-admission, no matter how tempting it is (and it is very tempting). We need new members in the forum to keep it alive and sometimes those new members are actually very intelligent, lets not forget we was all new at one time. I think the best way to handle this situation is, for all the older members to post quality topics and act like we always use to, while the trouble makers are dealt with by the m0ds.

well i dont agree with the closed admission but maybe closing people out from the CD forum if they continue with their nonsense after being warned once and only once

i think that way would work much better therefore you can still recieve new members in this forum and only close out the old and tired rampant few
This Sig is a Work in Progress.

I hate to say it but mostly I\'d have to agree with TheOgodlyThing\'s  view that things aren\'t so different as some of you want to think. What\'s changed in the last few months is all the consoles are out and have been seen in action by everyone. The PS2 killers sit dead in the water, out of ammo for the time being. Should it be any wonder ps2 fans feel comfortable now freely taking potshots after putting up with all the ‘intelligent\' debates based mostly on stats and vaporware for well over a year? Does anyone actually think the situation here would be any better if the sales of Xbox or GC vs PS2 were reversed?

In my view what should be cracked down on is the genuinely insulting behavior towards each other. Fix that and it will go a long way towards making this place better. Instead we have a zero tolerance policy for console bashing,  which is often merely a matter of opinion i.e. updating console sales charts too frequently can now be determined as a form of senseless bashing. In the meantime it\'s okay to try and ridicule a mod for suggesting some of us should get outside more rather than continuing to beat the same dead horse over and over (see the ‘Sony too much of a Monopoly...\' thread).

I for one.. Am glad Ryu\'s taking charge.

And taking to the fact of what Altered said.. I agree. I promise to not be anal toward other systems.
.... take the skin and peel and back...

now doesn\'t it make you feel better?
